JR 4 inch 1/2" Shower Arm Extension, Shower Head Extension Arm, Shower Extender Arm - 304 Stainless Steel with Brass Connector - Polished Chrome Finish

I am very short, barely 5 feet tall, I just had my shower redone & the Plumber put the shower head in at "the standard height" of 6' 8"! I use a hand held as well, but I dislike those ones on a verticle rod, so I found a diverter that goes behind the stationary showerhead that also has a holder for the hand-held incorporated into it. Once it was all put together & EVERYTHING was finished, dry wall, painting, etc. We discovered it was way too high for me to reach the diverter to turn it & the hand-held as well!I did not want too long an extention tube as possibly a guest taller than me might use that shower, so the quest to find an extention tube/pipe less than 6" began. Also, I had all new Brushed Nickle fixtures installed. I could have gotten a piece of galvanized pipe with 2 male ends & then a coupler, but that would have looked crappy. I could find 6' or long pipes/tubes & I found those real long ones that have 2 or 3 joints that you can "adjust", but they all had their drawbacks. All I wanted was for the existing arm/tube/pipe to be about 4" longer, but it seemed I could not find one anywhere! Not online, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, or Lowes'. OR so it seemed at Lowes'... A wonderful Lowes' employee, Bonnie Brown, at the store in Waxahachie, Texas, looked again online & "wonders of wonders"... she found this one for me in a 4' length & in Brushed Nickle! It has a female & a male end so no coupler needed!I ordered this piece, it arrived on the day they said it would, a Saturday, it was installed on Tuesday & is just perfect!

Perfect item for lowering shower head for short wife. Very nice chrome finish and has internal hex to aid in tightening without marring finish. Comes with rubber gaskets and Teflon tape to aid in installation. Very Happy.

Works great for what I needed, just wish I could have found something shorter but it still worked. Price was great, very sturdy, and works great for my showerhead with bar and arm extension. Glad I found something that worked.

I have a shower head to install for my sister bath, but the bath ceiling was so High. I need to find an extension to be able to bring the shower head down to normal level , Luckily I found it on Amazon JR shower arm extension , good material , It was metal and light weightIs, seem like this will last for a long time , very happy with the purchase ,and highly recommend

As in some of the reviews, this appears well machined, but the female part spins loosely on the shaft and they intend the gasket to seal the two parts when tightened. However even when tightened, the upper connection to the existing pipe leaks between the two parts of this item. The threaded part spins on the shaft and cannot be tightened or removed from shaft. They provided three different gaskets, and none of them worked. From another reviewer, I suspect the threads are not tapered according to the common plumbing thread. Even if strongly tightened, the two parts are not rigid and the pipe will easily spin or wiggle and leaks.

The length is perfect, but that's as good as it gets. This came with the o-ring but not the rubber washer as was described. I scrounged up a couple of washers that fit, and ended up having to use both washers. It still leaks down the pipe from under where it screws onto the shower arm, but not as badly as it did with just one washer.

I like the way it looks on my shower arm. The shower head was so tall that I felt like a midget when showering. It made the shower head just the right height for me.
