PPE High-Capacity Aluminum Deep Engine Oil Pan (Black) 114052120 Compatible with 2011-2016 Chevy/GMC 6.6L LML Duramax Diesel

*Tip for installation- The factory alignment studs are not long enough to get a nut back on them, because the flange on this pan is much thicker than the stock pan. Back the alignment studs out a few turns so that you can still get your fingers (or some channel locks) on them after the new pan is in place. At that time you can completely remove the studs and install the supplied mounting bolts. May want to save the studs for next time. They really help with fast alignment so you don't rub off all that gasket maker trying to get the pan in place.

Quality built construction, not recommend for entry level mechanics. Some specialty tools for removing and installing are extremely helpful. Only complaint is they use allen head bolts to replace OEM 10mm head bolts removed....so you need a deep 6mm allen wrench with ball end to tighten new bolts. Could have used same type OEM bolts just longer to install because the pan thickness is more than OEM pan.Recommend a good rtv sealant, medium strength loctite and minimum 6" deep metric allen set(install) and 10mm swivel socket 1/4" drive (removal)

King of disappointed. Had to spend an extra $100 to lift engine up to install pan due to lift on truck.

Make sure you double check what year you have. 2001-2010 is 17 bolts and 2011 and up has 18 bolts. You can use silicone or I opted for a Felpro gasket. Helps if You have a metric set of Allen sockets. 5mm I believe are the size.

Installed with no problems..looks amazing. Also Installed ppe large oil filter. Put 12 quarts oil in and is half line on dipstick....great product.

Great oil pan love it!! The only issue we had was getting the 2 studs out it took us a bit but we got them! Pan looks great and love the extra quart of oil and also installed the ppe large oil filter for 12 quarts of oil!! After taking the old pan out and after draing all the oil out there were 16 ounces of oil in the oem pan not good
