Starter was warranted just as advertised!
I purchased the starter because I had purchased other starters that continued to stop working. This had a 1 year warranty and I figured if I got a year or more out of the starter I was doing well. The starter stopped working within the warranty period. I messaged the manufacturer and they quickly responded stating to send the starter in, They would test it and send me a new starter. What more can I ask for? Things happen and SBT stood good on their word. We always hear about the few bad ones compared to the thousands of god ones.Hope this helps

If you’re super lucky it might work more than once
Stay away from anything made by SBT. Their quality is worse than anything you can possibly find. I only got a handful of starts before this thing gave up. Bought another one and it only worked a couple of times and died as well. These starters are worth less than the cardboard box they’re shipped in.

Piece of junk
Bought this and it lasted for 3 summer weekends and it's already shot. Don't waste your money on this unit, it will leave you stranded. Customer support didn't want to pay for shipping the unit back to them which for me it's the cost of buying another unit.
