EatonWiring S865W-SP-L 660-Watt, 250-Volt Two Piece Plastic Ceiling Receptacle Lamp Holder with Pull Chain and Outlet, White

For many years I had issues with the porcelain version of these type of lamp holder receptacles. The chains would break and when I would attempt to repair them the porcelain would crack and I would have to purchase a new one. About 2 years ago I had to replace one and did so with a plastic version and have not had one issue with it since so when I finally decided to have extra light and power outlets placed into corners of our basement I chose this brand.Purchased three of them and had our electrician install wiring, boxes and the lamp holders. Used LED bulbs in the lamp holders and what a difference it makes in our basement. The electrician said they were easy to install and that he too had found people often had issues with the porcelain brands cracking or their chain mechanisms breaking. I told him what we paid for the lamp holder/receptacles and he felt this was a good price considering we did not have to travel anywhere to buy them.

Very nice, better than I expected. Pull chain operated smoothly, installation was easy - solved all the problems we had at that location. Thinking at this price of buying a few more, just to have on hand.

Was looking for some similar to this to replace an old florescent lamp in my garage with an LED shop-light. The shop-light I chose came hardwired with a 3-prong plug. Not wanting to to re-wire the shop-lamp, I opted instead to get this ceiling receptacle with the plug so I can connect the shop-light into. If and when the lamp dies, I can easily throw in a light bulb into the socket while I get the lamp replace. I'm not using the pull string, since the outlet I replace already had a light switch attached to it. The receptacle is made of hard, but easily breakable plastic. Only mention this because it can break is handled too rough during installation.I would have no issue recommending this to anyone planning on getting something similar. I plan to purchase two more with future orders; have to attach it to other orders since these are considered add-on items. Light of America LED Utility Shoplight 40 watt 4200 Lumen 48" (4 feet) with pull On/Off. One piece Aluminum housing. Hanging hardware (chain) included.

Has a convenient ground strap in the mount hole that connects to a metal box, but the ceramic in that region was very fragile and snapped before the screw drew the fixture up to the box.

Great product. Good quality easy to install. I have 4 led shop lights linked and going to the plug and also a light in the screw-in receptacle and it doesnt have any voltage drop proplems(no lights dimmer than they should be)

Works perfectly. I wanted to add an high water alarm for my ejector pump in the basement. The alarm needed to be on a separate circuit from the ejector pump. Problem is the pump is under the stairs and running a new line isn't practical and I didn't want an extension cord running under the door.This outlet allowed me to plug the alarm into the light and I was able to cleanly run the wiring along the ceiling."That's good!" - Jimmy Shorts

I needed to replace a cellar pull chain light. I watched the you tube videos and then spent about 10 min to replace the fixture. The only thing I wish is that it was ceramic instead of plastic. Otherwise it was a piece of cake. A good flashlight makes the install so much easier.

Instructions came on the bag (which were helpful as I'm still fairly inexperienced in matters of electricity installations), and I had it installed in less than 5 minutes and it works perfect and looks good. Does exactly what I needed it to do.

High quality product. Very happy with this purchase. I can plug my wheelchair charger into it and let it charge overnight and turn the light off at the same time.

This product is great. However, if you plan to daisy chain multiple lights of the same circuit, then you will have a tough time putting two wires under one screw.

Works as expected. No complaints.
