Effective, quick and sure proof!! IT WORKS!!
I ordered, received and immediately put them out in several rooms (kit.,BR., bath) in little nursery pots filled with plain dirt which I had on hand. Yes, you can put them in with potted plants for a visual look, but catching these flies was far more important than looks at this point. They worked immediately! After 2-3 days the yellow sheet was full on both sides! Be sure to treat the kitchen drain with apple vinegar and plug it over night to kill eggs. Female produces 500 eggs a day! Leave no fruit/food on the counters until they are gone so they won't be attracted to yellow trap. I ordered the cat face because of it's face size to catch more fruit flies. People have mentioned how their fingers stick trying to place it in a container. Answer: Simple pre-peel each side half way up off of the protection paper before inserting in container. Use both hands...one on the point that goes into the dirt and the other hand on the part that is unpeeled. Place bottom point deep within pot, THEN peel off the remainder of paper. NO sticky fingers! I would repurchase this in a heart beat. You are not wasting your money and they work! Just be sure to treat the spot(s) where they are breeding.

Works really well.
I love that it is sticky on both sides. I put two in an indoor planter and changed them out every few days (instructions say you can leave it there until completely covered in gnats). It's been about a week or so and my plant is gnat free. Really works!! Also, the package came with a little plastic shovel so you can create a space in the dirt for the sticky trap. It's seriously so adorable my four year old daughter immediately claimed the little shovel for herself and it is now a Barbie dream house accessory.

Cute design and functional
Purchased these sticky traps as a fungus gnat preventative for my plants. Product description is accurate and the traps came with a tiny shovel for digging a placement hole. Warning, the adhesive is beyond sticky and I've had no problems peeling the backing off. The traps do work but I'd suggest repotting your plants if you have an infestation of gnats. They are a nightmare to get rid of. Happy with my purchase.

Very effective!
These things work. Dang fruit flys! I taped two of them on the fruit bowl for quicker results. In five minutes, I had ½ dozen stuck. I put one close to the kitchen garbage, too. Bingo! In six days, I've not seen one live fruit fly. Finally!

Perfect
No mess or fuss. It’s exactly what I was looking for. No more pesky fruit flies around my plants. They were driving me crazy and now my plants have some peace! Just peel the paper and stick it in the soil near the plants! It’s worked like a charm and has dozens of small flies on each one!

It works - sticky
Updated: brought a plant in from outside, lots of gnats... These gnat traps are catching them. I didn't know there are that many gnats. This has only been a week!!!Very cute and it's sticky. I got the cat one, and only the cat portion of the design has adhesive on it, and the adhesive is on both sides of the cat head. While putting one into the potting soil in the flower pot, a gnat flew right into the sticky part of the trap. That didn't take long to catch one. Keep in mind that for it to work, the gnats have to fly into the stick part. By the time I was done putting one in each pot, and 2 in a pot that has a lot more gnats, these traps already caught about 10 gnats total. I kind of feel bad for the gnats that are stuck on the trap, because they are pretty much waiting to die of starvation. I believe double side tapes would have done the same job.

Buy these now, you won't regret it!
I love these traps! The paper backing peeled off easily and within minutes, i was catching fruit flies. These have to be used along with an attractant. I used small plastic cups with a couple tspns of apple cider vinegar covered by clear plastic with holes in the it. Then I used a rubber band along the top of the cup and tucked the trap into the rubber band. Works great and now no more pesky flies. I also used them outdoors to keep the bugs off my pepper plants. Worked great for that as well. I liked them so much, I bought more for family members.
