Great little pump, not that noisy - get a filter!
I've only used this once as a test but am impressed. Thanks to reviews here I read the instructions and first added olive oil to the impeller and also got a washer filter to protect from debris. I tested with a 30' foot hose on each side and it had no problem self-priming and moved water at a pretty good rate, though it was slightly downhill. The noise was also much better than expected based on reviews here. More of a whine than a scream. You could easily stand next to it and hold a conversation and I'm sure I wouldn't hear it from inside the house.UPDATE: My first attempt showed that the little washer filter was not enough since it kept getting clogged and it is a pain to shutdown and clean it out. I bought a "LOVHO Sediment Filter Attachment Garden Hose Pressure Washer Outdoor Gardening Inlet Water (40 Mesh Screen) " and it works great! Easy to see when it needs changing, it holds a lot and is easy to clean out when needed. I went with the 40 mesh instead of 100 and the fine stuff it lets through doesn't seem to slow down the pump at all.

This pump works great!
I bought this pump for use at our off grid cabin. I have a greenhouse that uses rainwater for the plants. I've used this pump to transfer water between barrels, used it to fertilize, with a lawn sprinkler and have pumped water from our lake up a 30(!) foot incline through 75 feet of hose with no problems, cleaned out gutters and washed my car. With a regular hose end sprayer it's like having normal water pressure. I have not preplaced the brushes or impeller yet. I highly recommend getting hose washers with the screen in them to filter debris. Always use some veggie oil for priming! The pump is noisy but it works great!

Great pump package for occassional or intermittent use!
The pump works well and can handle uphill pumping. A good little pump so far. I used it to empty a 50 gallon drum of water pumping at about an 8 foot rise and it completed the job in about 10-15 minutes with steady pressure. The instructions contradict the sticker covering the inlet and this may be due to a product change. The instructions state to add oil to the inlet to lube the impeller but the sticker states to add water. When I inspected the inlet I saw that they added silicone lubricant to the impeller and this may have been a change after the instructions were written to stop people from ruining the impeller. Regardless, the pump comes with a replacement impeller and seal as well as the case bolts that are removed to change it. It also comes with a 6 foot piece of hose and a surface suction attachment which is a really nice bonus. Although it is nice to get the spare impeller parts but I am not sure if this is a bonus or a short lived part. I sprayed the impeller with WD40 and then after the job inspected it and found no damage so...so far so good! Overall the price makes the purchase well worth it for intermittent use.Pros:-Self priming pump allows you to start it dry.-Spare parts, surface suction attachment and inlet hose included.-Metal connections for hoses (3/4in) should last a long time.-Pumps uphill pretty easily.Cons:-The metal tab on the back bends if you too much pressure on it.-Rubber impeller expected to fail at some point when it degrades.

Nice little pump
I've been using this little pump for 2 months to pump water from my rain barrels (55 gal, 275 gal) to water the garden and high tunnel. It does a good job of pumping water through 175 feet of hose (3/4 in and 5/8 in) with about a 3 foot rise. It produces good pressure. The pump is a little noisy and does run hot, so use the handle to lift it after use. not sure why it runs hot, even if I use it with a 75 ft hose and 5 foot rise. Its also nice to have extra parts they provide. Have also used it to drain a small 10 x 12 x1.5 ft pond with the provided strainer and input hose. Good value for the money.

Worked well for 3 weeks then stopped.
Worked well to pump 5k gal rain water tank for garden. Over the weekend it started sounding strange during pumping. Plenty of water still in the tank, but nothing pumping out. Removed the output hose and found a trickle when operating. Unplugged it and the water came pouring out as gravity from the tank. No warranty info provided on Amazon. Beware. We will update if we get a replacement and then go from there.6 weeks now, nothing heard from the manufacturer on replacement of the pump. We went with another brand to continue pumping the tank. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PUMP BY THIS SELLER.
