SOLID wood
Some of the other reviews had pictures that showed that these were made of 2 different pieces of wood put together. That was not my experience. I ordered 4 of these and all of them were turned from one solid piece of wood. Absolutely beautiful and a fantastic value!

Great buy on legs for a new kitchen island
Very good quality turnings. Needed a little additional sanding and filler but nothing significant. Sanded, cut to length and installed for perfect results.

Not the best, not the worst
If you are planning on painting these legs they would probably be ok. Our plan was to stain them, however there are significant gaps where the pieces are glued together. The wood used is also two toned, as evidenced in the photos. Would be a pain to return so we are going to do our best with them. I would look elsewhere before buying these.

Big! like Elephant legs
On first view, I was surprised by how BIG they looked. Once installed into the kitchen island, though, they didn't look so big as you can see in the photo. I will say that these are not solid one-piece legs. They are 2 pieces of wood joined together, then shaped on a lathe. Some kind of filler was used that resembled epoxy, which I did not like but did not matter as we painted them. If you plan on staining, the epoxy filler may not take the stain and show as a different color / texture. One had a noticeable seam that kept spreading even after I filled it with wood filler, so the wood may not have been fully seasoned, either. Could be the difference in humidity between Florida (where they are made) and Nevada (where they were installed) caused them to dry out and split. Overall, we are very happy with these and think they look awesome!
