So Easy - but make sure to NOT totally remove clip
Need a narrow flat tool (we used very small screwdriver). For the connection at the bottom (from the view when liftgate opened), we only loosened the clip, and it took literally 2 seconds to install. For the connection at the top (from the view when liftgate opened), I had removed the clip & even with my husband's super strong hands, could not get back on, tried pliers, etc. We tried for 2 minutes, and then decided doesnt feel like it's going to come loose, and left it. OVERALL FIVE-STAR & WORKS AWESOME. So glad to have this fixed for cheap. (Hat-tip to youtuber who posted a 1min video on SRX liftgate fix)

Perfect for a 2014 SRX
Good price, and it works with our 2014 SRX, I no longer bang my head on a slowly closing liftgate.

They work!
These are generic Chinese parts, but they work properly out of the box and for 10 bucks each, they do the job. I'll edit this if they fail prematurely (written in Jan 2018).

So far, So great
Easy install on my mom's 2010 SRX around a month ago, to replace a worn out part, preventing the liftgate from staying open. Perfect fit.

Works on 2015 SRX
My daughters Cadillac rear hatch was closing on her right after it opened. This jack fixed it. You will only need one, because the other side is the hydraulic lift jack. If this one wears out, the sensor on the door assumes you are pulling it closed, so it closes immediately by hydraulic assist. Replace this one, and it holds open. Open the hatch, brace it open carefully, and replace the passenger side jack. 5 minute job.
