Ordered this adjustable closet rod to replace a broken rod in our IKEA wardrobe. I wasn’t sure that it would actually hold up since there are a lot of items hanging in the wardrobe. Now after 7 months, this rod is still hanging!!Adjustable rod is very sturdy, and well built. I installed the brackets myself so it might be a little off but this hasn’t impacted the adjustable tension rod from doing its job! Definitely a mighty rod that does its job well!!

This is very well made and easy to install IF you know how it works; I think some reviewers didn't understand. First, detach the mounting plates from the cup brackets by inserting a flat tip screwdriver into to plates' notches and unscrewing them. Measure and mount the brackets at equal distances down and back so the bar will be straight to go in the cups. I reccomend drilling a pilot hole and, if you are going into a stud, drill the screw too. It's ok if the screws don't set all the way because the cups are pretty deep. Next, screw the cups onto to the brackets. Takes a couple tries to thread straight. Then, insert one end of the rod into its matching size cup and extend the rod into the other cup. You may have to twist to loosen it to move. Last, twist the rod to tighten it so it holds the extension in place. I bought this for my new RV that came with closets with no rods. I wanted something that looked like it came with the RV, not residential or DIY looking. It also needed to be sturdy and not jump out of its brackets going down the road. THIS IS PERFECT!

Installed it for the kids closet. The adjustable length made it very versatile. No issues so far after a few weeks. Seems solid.

Used this adjustable piece for a replacement hanging bar in our wardrobe. Works great, solid, no more bowing old rod.

This product came with no instructions, and the pole does not extend from 26". not usable.

I just installed this tension rod, and it seems very sturdy. I didn't put my full weight on it, but it felt strong enough to do a pull-up! Installing was a pain though. The screws are too short, and that makes it very difficult to get the end caps attached to the wall. Otherwise, I'm pleased with it so far. If anything changes, I'll update my review.

Have never seen SS attracted to magnet before. Well made and easy to install. Will see how long last on inside of boat.
