Very effective for body acne
Even though I am a 40-something woman with fairly decent facial skin, I've suffered for YEARS with persistent and embarrassing acne on my arms (especially my upper arms and shoulders), legs, belly, and bum. I also have excoriation disorder, which means each pimple will end up being a scab that lingers for weeks or months because I can't leave it alone. I have tried tons of different soaps and creams, and even prescription antibiotics. This does wonders, though! I've been using it for about a month, fairly religiously, and for the first time in literally years I don't have a single zit or open wounds on my arms or shoulders. The smell, as some have mentioned, isn't lovely but it's REALLY not that bad. I have a very sensitive sense of smell and after I dry off and put on lotion or whatever I can't smell the sulfur at all.

Well priced and works well!
This is a great product. I use it every second day, lather up well, let it soak for 5 minutes and rinse well. Very little smell left. I use another product with coal tar in it ocassionally to give my scalp a break. It definetly helps me. I know some reviews complain of smell, maybe different water hardness or PH's make it different.

Best Soap for skin
I love this soap. The combination of salicylic acid and sulphur leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. It also works on any body acne that I may be experiencing. Bar last for a long time. Just make sure that you dampen the soap for at least 2 minutes for it to lather up. I use a little plastic storage container and leave the soap in it in the shower. When I am ready to use I cover the bar in water and use. When I am done I pour the water out to my wash cloth for a last wash. Will order again.

Using for my acne
I think the soap is working nicely for my face & sparked body ache. It doesn't do anything that I can see for deep or large blackheads. Some others reported the overwhelming sulfur smell but I don't find it that bad. Maybe because I was already use to using the MSM gel mixed in my everyday lotion. The soap does dry the skin so be prepared. I used it about 3xs a week on days I go to the gym & get a clothes drenching sweat on. As it does dry the skin, I don't think using it daily would be a good idea...but to each is own. The soap also came with a clear plastic wrap and was placed in a mailing plastic envelope. I think it should've been in a box like Dove so it couldn't be tampered with. On that note, one day I noticed a discoloration on the soap and after investigating it...I found a small metal sliver. It was a good thing I use a washcloth instead of the bare soap to my skin because I could've had some scratches from wherever that metal came from and what organisms it may've come on contact with. I do plan to write the supplier when I can figure out how to do that on Amazon...I think they changed how to do it. Otherwise, I'm happy with my soap.

Amazing with one (fairly major) caveat...
Yes, real reviewer here. Just a normal dude who purchased some soap for my terrible skin and felt compelled to write a review.I gave it 3 stars. Does the stuff work? I would say it’s like a MIRACLE SOAP … with one (fairly major) caveat.I have shoulder acne and have acne on my upper thighs for some reason, probably because I go to the gym, sweat a ton and have sensitive skin. I used this and immediately saw results, as in the next day. After a few days, all cleared up, like new skin actually. I was like whoa, I'm just about 40 years old and have had this skin problem for around 15 years and suddenly this stuff works and clears it all up. I’ve went to the dermatologist multiple times and the stuff they gave me didn’t work but just dried out my skin and made things red. So I’m a lil' skeptical -- is this stuff legal? If this has worked so well, how isn't there a massive marketing campaign like Proactive? I'm wondering if this isn't FDA-approved. Is it safe? Am I gonna get cancer? Rabies? I dunno but I do know it works AMAZINGLY. I did do a Google search and found that this type of soap is supposedly good for people with Asian skin, which I do have (I'm half Filipino and half white).... And now to the big hiccup. It STINKS. The best way to describe it is "HOT FART". If you’ve ever went to a sulfur spring, then you know exactly what it smells like. Some reviewers says it doesn't smell or that they're using it as a deodorant soap for their teenage son. Yeah? Deodorant Soap? I guess if they like the smell of HOT FART!, then it must smell great. I use it on my shoulder and it smells like someone just busted a dutch oven on it. The smell gets EVERYWHERE too. On your towel that you dry yourself off with. The shower stall stinks. Even your dryer after you wash your clothes or towel in will have this smell to it. If you can deal with this smell, then I'd say go for it. Personally, I will continue to use it but being that I work from home, I only use it when I know I won’t be around other people, other than my wife and daughter who’r already use to the smell of fart from me.As far as the packaging goes, it came in a yellow envelope with the small bubbles inside. In there was another one of those yellow envelopes and what looked to be a Prescription-like label on it? Then the soap was kinda cheaply shrink-wrapped in plastic wrap. It did have the SAL3 embossed in the soap. Almost on the verge of homemade soap. Now, if the manufacturers can figure out how to get rid of the smell issue and get this FDA-approved or whatever is required to make this stuff ACTUALLY be safe and have proof, then they should be hella rich.

Comfortable Skin Again!
I have always had problemish “sensitive” skin but never really had “acne.” I get ingrown hairs and folliculitus easily and bug bites seem to NEVER HEAL.But a year ago I went on medication that gives me not just night sweats but all day sweats and I swear I was getting fungal infections. My skin was breaking out and taking forever to heal. This soap really has helped. I’ve been using for about 3 weeks. The smell isn’t as bad as a prescription sulfur wash I used once and it doesn’t linger on your skin, but honestly this seems to be working better than the RX so I’m extremely happy!
