For a little background on my situation, I've reached a stage where at 180 pounds and 5"4 I feel shapeless and ugly in pretty much everything I'm wearing. I feel like I somehow look like a truck driver and I don't know how this has happened. But then when I am naked I look much better. I may be plump but I have shape. Put the clothes on (I'm talking jeans, t shirts, tank tops, shorts) and I just look boxy and bigger than I am.I knew that it was the cut of the clothing, the shape just wasn't at all flattering and every time I ordered something new, the way it looked on the model in the picture wasn't the same as when I put it on at home. They are taking those clothes in to fit the models figures. They don't look boxy and masculine in the clothes that we then buy, try on and are shocked at how hideous and shapeless we look. Then we settle for it because we can't find anything else. We say..."it's not that bad." ....But it is that bad. And pretty soon our drawers are filled wit nothing but shapeless awful clothes that make us look like we have no sense of style or that we don't even care about the way that we look.That is why I am so excited about this dress. It is just sooo flattering. It fits snugly at the chest if you want it to, but also has adjustable straps for if you want it looser up top. The way the dress is cut is exactly like in the pictures, so it comes in below the bust to give the shape of the waist and then flares out and leaves whatever you have going on in your midriff, hips and upper thighs to the imagination. It gives shape where you have none and it flatters your shape if you should be so lucky as to have one.The cut is perfect, the length is perfect (a large falls just above my knee, at 5"4, 180 pounds and 40C chest) and the style is gorgeous. These dresses remind me of the 1940's but not a drab farm girl 1940's. Rather an "i'ts Sunday morning" 1940's or a "going out to the theater "1940's. "Going out shopping and then to the theater on a Sunday " 1940's.I've decided after looking at myself in the mirror in the white with yellow sunflowers design, that this is my new thing. I will look like a 1940's pinup giril and I will have this new style and renewed shape. I will shock everyone who has seen me take trash out to the dumpster in my shapeless t shirts and jeans when I instead take it out wearing one of these dresses. for I have just bought three more of them and will continue buying them so that I always look nice and more importantly, feel I look nice. Finally! And for a welcome change.A little more about the specs of the dress...I feel the fit is pretty true to size. I"m sometimes a large and sometimes XL depending on the brand .and the large is the perfect size for my measurements. I live in a very hot climate and it is summer so the feel of the dress is also great because it's not heavy and hot. It's soft and cooling. It feels kind of like a comfortable linen sheet but the point is it is very comfortable. It doesn't do anything weird when I sit down. It doesn't tug at my chest or get too tight anywhere or feel like it's about to rip. It does't ride up and reveal anything. Overall it is a very classy, casual yet chic dress. It's also the type of dress that makes you feel like you can own a bunch of them and not have anyone recognize that you're wearing the same dress too often because the styles are so bold with the florals. You cold easily get a black or white sunflower, then a red flower and a geometric flower and a solid and and just look like you are the most stylish person on your street. Possibly in the entire town.In fact, you might feel that you are too good for your town now and want to go travelling overseas. (I know I do;) I feel this dress would be perfect for that. These dresses seem perfect for travel because you can wash them in a sink or bathtub and hang them to dry and they seem like they will dry quickly.I feel like I am now transforming from a bland shapeless dumpling in an overcooked stew, to feeling like I look better than anyone in any of the 300 apartments where i live and the entire surrounding neighborhood. I truly believe this, and I have low self esteem. But that is how great this sunflower dress looks on me. I think you should get one.

I bought two of these dresses to take to Hawaii. They are basically one size fits mostl. I bought a large and an XL. My sister and I each wore one and we could interchange. They are loose and short. Perfect for summer or a tropical vacation. Easy to pack... you can wear with or without a bra. If you're looking for something form fitting, this is not it. But it is super cute & fun!

I'm always skeptical when I buy things online but this dress was actually really accurate to the discription and true to size. I'm about 5'4" and around 130 lbs and the medium fits great. When I first tried it one it was a little frumpy but once I washed it it was a little more form fitting.

I am 5'3" 110lbs and got the small and it's maybe just a smidge bigger than what I'd consider ideal for this kind of dress but I still like it. It's very comfy and I think it's a perfect summer dress.

This is probably one of my favorite online clothing purchases, ever. You never quite know what you're going to get, but this one actually exceeded my expectations.As you can tell, it's shorter, however not too short. The sunflower print gives off a totally 90's "Saved By the Bell" vibe that I really dig.Very cute. Fits very well. I'm anywhere between a 12 & 14, sometimes even 16 - C/D chest, with a big XL butt. Like, I cannot wear undies unless they're XL, and a tummy that enjoys pizza and chocolate, often - this was purchased in a large and you can see the fit.Just get it. You'll like it.

This dress is very cute! It's quite thin and flowy, but I enjoy that look. I won't be wearing it to the office but it's perfect for an upcoming vacation, trip to the beach, or day date. I'm 5'3, about 170lbs, bra size 36DD, and I wear a street size 14. I purchase the Large, and it fits comfortably. Honestly, sizing up to an XL probably would have been fine as well, as this pulls slightly at the bust. The straps are adjustable, which is very helpful. My only complaint is that at I'm only 5'3, and this dress is quite short on me. I imagine on anyone of average height or taller, it could be a little problematic with the flowy nature of the dress.

I'm very glad I took the time to read the reviews, alongside emailing the seller and asking my husband's opinion. I am an I cup and I usually wear items between large-2x. I was going to get the dress in xl but since the reviews spoke of the dress being a little too big I went with large. This dress is so figure friendly that I possibly could have gotten a medium.Dress is very beautiful. Off to the State Fair for this woman! (Also found matching flip flops and a hair flower [that I'll be making into a choker].)Recommend going 1 or 2 sizes down.

The neckline has a bit of a weird scoop. Kind of makes you have the illusion of flat breasts tbh. I got a L as I am 5'1" and 155 pounds. Honestly I usually need a L as I have a bigger butt. I think a medium would've been better off. It makes me look a tad bit boxy. Nothing a cardigan can't fix. Although, its loose so it would make a great maternity dress for when that day comes lol! Material is somewhat thin but not seethrough and it's soft. Overall, good purchase. :)

As these dresses are not form fitting and some designs have good elasticity, I used to wear these as pajamas. During pregnancy, these are the only comfy clothes as they are loose and light and allows ample growing space. After giving birth I found these to be the perfect nursing clothes on top of everything. I love these dresses to death. Not to mention the variety of designs . These dresses can be worn to bed , to the office, to the mall. I feel like these are all I ever need. I’ve bought so many of them . I had similiar ones (bought 5 then) from another brand but they gotten out of stock then I found MS basic. (Already gotten 7pcs and looking to buy more) 😂
