Great product
Was easy to put together. Nice quality all around very impressed. It is bigger than my mattress which is no concern to me. Followed suggestion of other purchaser and only hand tightened screws until all were installed. Light weight to carry, cover fit perfectly. Great value for the money.

GAMECHANGER for our CASPER mattress!
We purchased a Casper a few years ago and was using it on our old box spring. We woke up with back pain daily. We were going to buy a Casper foundation but they were out of stock or back order so we settled for this Zinus foundation. We couldn’t be more happy with it. Assembly was a breeze and it’s well made. Nothing negative to say. It also fit right on our existing wood bed frame so didn’t have to buy anything additional. Great base for the money!

Easy to put together, and exact as description indicates
Queen size.. I bought this a few days ago to be the platform base for my new foam mattress. I don't write reviews, but after i put this together and laid it on my bed frame, i just had to.Packaging: UPS shipped and it had some dings and tears, but the internal edge padding and box tape kept it together. I was mildly concerned but figured id open it before i got too excited.Opened Package: Instructions, tools, and bolts in a nice easy open/close plastic storage bag. The box ends were heavily padded with foam inserts to protect the rails and wood. The rails were tied and wrapped in a plastic glove that protected them and was very easy to pull off. All nice and secure.Instructions: I wondered if the writers worked for Apple or Google. The several steps had detailed pictures. were very easy to read and nicely laid out. (the labels in the instructions were exact to the labels on the rails and bolts)..Tools: 12 bolts, 4 spares, an allen wrench, and believe it or not... a small simple allen ratchet tool.. Seriously? Nice touch. All tools were in a fitted package and labeled so you dont loose anything.Build:Three rails attached to 2 ends to create the rectangle platform. Every end attachment had a sticker, labeled 1, 2, 3, .. 6. Screw hole on rail 1 met with screw hole 1 on end piece... and so on.. easy.. The bolts were thick and were easy to hand twist with large ridged edge. I used my fingers to insert the bolt and screw in every one (12 total). What that means is that the steel was machined perfectly. Every hole was lined up and matched every cut out and each bolt fastened easily. No nuts required. There were 2 sets of wooded slats that were connected to each other with velcro ties, the bed rails edges had velcro surface the entire length of the rail, which means the wooden slats connected to each other and stayed put on the rail. It took me less than 5 min to attach them. It has a ledge for all the wood slats to sit on AND had velcro to keep it in place. Then i put the frame on its side and put the cover on and zipped it up. Fit like a glove. small wonders.. i didnt expect this actually, so i have to give credit where credit is due..I'll update this after its used..

Very easy to put together
Put together by myself in about 10 minutes. Wife and I took for a test drive and it is very solid and made no creeking sounds or anything. The only thing I'd want changed is the cover only goes over the top and sides, I'd prefer it to cover it completely with a zipper to close it.Solid quiet fits perfectly

Heavy-weight foundation that provides a good value (especially when shipped using Amazon Prime) with an accurate description
Positives:I have had this foundation for over a month and have been using it nightly. It was a very good replacement for my box springs, which creaked from the first day I got it. Now, with this foundation, there is no creaking and no noise when I roll around trying to get comfortable, which is an improvement. Since I am a bigger guy, this impressed me. So the engineering and manufacturing were done well. The price provided a good value given that with Amazon Prime shipping, this 50 lb. monster was delivered to my door. (But the shipper bang up the box pretty bad.)The packing did a good job protecting the foundation against a poor delivery. Although the box was beat up badly, the contents were in perfect shape. Nothing was damaged.Assembly took some time, but no extra tools were required. The instructions were well written. And the manufacturer provides extra parts, just in case. So if you follow the instructions exactly, one person can assemble this in less than 45 minutes. I would guess that would go a lot faster with two people. The cover took the longest. Putting it on so it does not rip with one person is a real challenge because the foundation, once assembled, is heavy and ungainly. But once on, the whole thing is well protected against dust and dirt. The design was innovative. The manufacturer uses velco to keep the wooden slates from moving once installed. As a result, the whole unit, once assembled, is very sturdy and sound.Negatives:This thing is heavy and very ungainly for only one person. The box weighs over 50 lbs. and is long. Getting up stairs with one person is challenging, but with two there should be no problems (unless you on a 5-story walk up, then good luck). Once assembled, the weight makes it hard to move around until it is on the frame.Overall, this did not get a 5-star review because of the weight. Using all-steel construction for the frame means it weighs a lot, but that is what makes is sturdy and solid. And this is its only downfall. So, I would recommend this foundation as a good value and as being well represented by the text and images listed on Amazon.

Works Well
It went together easily. Everything lined up. The only problem you may run into it the wooden slats are only about 3/8" think and bend easily. I wanted to put the metal frame on top on my existing bed rails to lift the 14" foam mattress up enough so I could slip my hands under the mattress to change the sheets. I got around the slat issue by putting a piece of 3/4" plywood over the slats. Foam mattresses would eventually squeeze through the slats. They should be on thick plywood.

Fantastic product!
Comes in a long box, about 7 ft, we opened it in the garage, and carried all the parts up to the second floor which has narrow stairs and a landing half way. Took only about 10 minutes to put it together, is is very well designed, and quite solid for our foam mattress to sit on. Before our mattress sagged in the middle, but with this box spring, not at all. Instructions are very clear and easy to follow. The whole structure is very light. The cloth cover was easy to put over it. Would certainly order one of these again. Very, very pleased.

Regular box springs should be illegal
This thing is super cool! I mean lets be honest, what does a box spring do... occupy space, add some height and ventilation. So by it's nature it is bulky but really not made of much. I did not expect it made sense to have an item like this shipped. Until I found this.Setup was super easy and did not take long at all. Also it came with a pretty slick tool, which was a nice surprise and very smart to include. I also think this is a lot nicer than the box springs I have seen in the past. We have had this in use for over 6 months now with no issues encountered. It has held up to my nightly performances and has not complained at all. Likewise I have no complaints. STOP SHIPPING BIG BULKY BOX SPRINGS AROUND THE GLOBE, as this has to be way smaller of a carbon footprint.

Perfect, exactly what we needed!
I bought this for one reason only, my existing box spring was so loud, getting out of bed even woke up the neighbor's cat! It was super easy to install, the wood slats are less than 3 inches apart, and held in place by velcro. And, it is super solid and there is absolutely no noise, at all! Excellent product, super fast delivery! My first from Zinus, not my last.

Just as advertised
Easy to assemble. They have updated the assembly design to overcome some of the customer complaints. Works well! Solved the problems I wanted to solve and sleeps great.
