Comfortable, durable, cute
These shoes are very comfortable for traveling with lots of walking. We averaged about 25k steps a day for 3 weeks with inclines, declines, and cobblestones and they held up great. My feet still got tired at the end of the day or after a lot of cobblestones, but that’s to be expected. The white knit material was a little hard to keep clean and I rubbed them with a damp cloth each night to help. They look pretty good and mostly all white again after soaking and scrubbing them when we got home. Gum soles helped a lot - white soles would not have been easy to maintain. They were cute with summer dresses, shorts, and jeans. They have a nice wide toe box and I didn’t get any blisters or have a break in period. I replaced the foot bed that comes with the shoes with a Dr Scholls gel insert and that made them quite comfortable.I would absolutely buy them again and will continue to use them as a go to daily and travel shoe.

Most favorite shoe
I have now bought several pairs of this brand (in different colors, and as gifts for others.) The shoe is super lightweight, very breathable, and have now been washed in the washing machine several times (I remove the inserts and let air dry). The first time I wore them, my lower legs felt sore, but within a day, it was gone. My calves, feet and ankles are stronger and I feel more balanced and grounded when I wear them. Which is usually everyday. Perfect for dog walks and urban hikes. Aesthetic Warning: the toe box is a bit wider than the typical sneaker. But I don’t mind, because they are so incredibly comfortable.

Comfortable but I prefer the wide width.
I have a couple pair of these shoes in wide. This is the first pair I bought in regular width. A weird thing I noticed in them is the interfacing in the toe is more stiff and noticeable in this pair. I hope it doesn't become more noticeable as they get worn in. They are comfortable but I can only wear them sockless. With socks they are too snug. So if you have wide feet you might consider the wide width. This is a great shoe to start off your bear foot experience. Price is much more reasonable than other name brands. I have also tried out the generic brands on Amazon and the quantity is not as good.

Fits great
My toes have more room and don't hurt any more. Very comfortable and stylish.

Great barefoot sneakers **Edited** Please read to the end
I purchased these in 8.5 white, and I am very happy. I usually fit in size 8 or 8.5, but, since I was buying these mostly for comfort, I went with the larger size. They are comfortable from the very first wear (which, in my case, was sockless, though they are extremely comfortable with socks, as well). The soles are very low profile, flexible, and grippy. This was important to me: I have rheumatoid arthritis -- including inflammation and reduced movement in my ankles -- so I tend to trip if I wear thick-soled shoes. I feel very grounded in these -- they even make me feel a little sprightly! When laced up, there is a surprising amount of arch support for such flat sneakers. Also, they are nicely cut around the back of the ankle: high enough to feel secure, but low enough that they don't dig in when I have bad inflammation. Finally, they are pretty cute: the white with rubber soles have a little retro-hipster flair and go with any casual outfit. The only possible downside is that they are canvas and (I expect) will get dirty and/or rip if I mistreat them, but I have had them for over a month now (wearing them almost every day, mostly on sidewalk), and they still look good. I'm returning to buy them in black, too!**EDITED**Okay, after months of happily wearing the white pair, I decided I needed them in black, as well. I am *very* disappointed because the company has changed the fabric. They no longer come in a cotton-like canvas fabric, but they now use a clearly synthetic, woven, polyester-type fabric that is padded inside and smells strongly of plastic. They are still comfortable, but they seem as though they are going to breathe less and be more hot and sweaty. Furthermore, they have completely lost their distinctive style, and the sneakers now look cheap, like something you would buy in Payless or Walmart. I don't know if I am going to return them -- it is probably not worth the trouble -- but I am super bummed, since I was looking forward to having a black version of the original canvas design. I am keeping my star rating as it is, since I was originally reviewing the earlier design, but, Whitin, please bring back the canvas! As is, these are now worth only about 2 or 3 stars.

Beggars can't be choosers
This is my second pair of the black Whitin shoes, purchased about 10 months apart, which is why I'm giving a 3 start rating. I understand that these are knockoff Vivos, but I was hoping for at least one year of wear before having to replace them. I don't wear these everyday, and yet, they only lasted 10 months, as the soles in my current pair are falling apart. Reminds me of the boot theory where I'll wind up spending more money on these shoes until I'm able to afford a pair of Vivos which will probably last multiple years.Despite my complaints, the shoes are reasonably comfortable, it is indeed wide toebox, and I'm grateful for that. Just be mindful that these are made with low quality materials, and if you wear them regularly, you'll probably need to replace them within 6 months.

Perfect for wide feet. Love these shoes!
I love, love, love these shoes. The first time I wore them was while traveling, so there was a lot of walking between gates to and from the airport.I have wide feet and my doctor recommended I only wear shoes with a wide toe box. Before I sunk some serious cash into some shoes, I thought I would give these a try. They have a slight arch support and are super comfortable and flexible. The fit around the toe area was spot on. They have a minimalist design with a mesh upper that breathes so that your feet stay cool. I really liked the old school gum sole that has a good grip when walking.

Comfy and cute
They fit well and seem well made. It is spacious and cute. Definitely worth trying a pair! I hate shoes with arch support (I have strong arches and the dislike the discomfort of an added lump in my shoe). Luckily these are very simple and flat.Thank you!

Great look!
I haven't had time to try them outside, they are much lighter in weight than my current runners

This style is not for every foot
I took 6 weeks to get used to this style before a 2-week vacation during which I would be walking a great deal. To no avail, I still developed an overuse strain on the top of my foot near the ankle that had me limping painfully by the second last day of the vacation and took 2 weeks to recover completely. Since returning home, I bought good quality insoles with arch support and can now wear these shoes without injury. Barefoot shoes are not for me. Your mileage may vary.
