Save your back!
I just drywalled my entire house with 9 foot ceilings. There is no way I could have lifted the 50 pound drywall panels into place. I also used it to put the drywall onto the angled cealings too.Easy to set up and easy to use. It worked great and was super sturdy. It saved me a lot of money rather than buying one from one of the builder's stores at three times the cost of this one.It looked and worked exactly as the one from the builders store.

Spend a few more dollars and get better one
Needed for one project. Arrived in a good shipping time. The bad, 3 of the wields were bad and not safe, one of the extension mounts was not wielded at the correct angle to let the arm lock in place. The directions are horrible and extremely confusing. The base is built well and has a nice zero point for turning and locks up nicely. The control wheel was not machined evenly and when cranking its not aligned with the hand crank. I had one of our guys at the shop wield the spots and we took the wheel off and heated it and straightened it. The only reason we did this instead of sending it back was we needed to do a job that week and Lowe’s and Harbor freight had none in stock.

MY CONTRACTORS LOVED THIS
My contractors borrowed this from me after they were done using it. That should tell you something. This is useful and performs as described!

Does the job… with a little creativity
Firstly, it works and is very well constructed for its purpose - not a iPhone in exacting fit, but exactly what is needed for this sort of tool. This is simple (heavy ish) to assemble, in all but one point. The cable that does the work has not clear way to securely hold in place. We ended up feeding through the hole as pics show, but then made a sort of too and fro between the spokes of the hand wheel, then clamped it there. Not exactly great.Last, if you’re reading this far, you need or want one. Buy it, and be prepared to work with the minor short coming of cable securing (good small C clamp).

A real time saver
I’ve installed drywall before. Two ladders, lift on 3, a little to the left, right, higher, lower. Such a daunting task. This time I did it with this lift, and WOW. A complete game changer. You will need an extra hand to lift the drywall into the lift, unless you can do it alone. This made it so easy, you can wheel it into place, it tilts and adjusts with springs to make a tight fit. Just screw the drywall in and release the lift back down. No more frustrating, time consuming, painful drywall install after this.

Instructions are incomprehensible, difficult to assemble, brake does not work.
The media could not be loaded. I have edited my review from several days ago. The instructions are absolutely useless. Youtube videos are vague. After much back and forth with the seller, I finally managed to assemble the thing. However, now we have a new problem! The brake does not engage. You hoist the sheet up, but the brake will not lock to hold it elevated. So if you let go it will just crash down. This is beyond ridiculous. I don't even understand the other positive reviews, how they got this thing to work properly. Right now I am stuck and cannot work because the brake will not engage. Unbelievable. If anyone reads this and knows how to engage the brake, please message me.

Useful
Once I disregarded the instructions included and the video which was completely useless on Amazon, I went on you tube and watch a similar product with the correct visualization on how to put it together I was able to use it for what I needed it. I do say it’s worth the money and saves time when putting up ceiling drywall alone. I would’ve given this a better rating if they had better instructions and or proper video on how to set it up. The ladies in the Amazon video seemed lost and totally jacked up the wheel and cable install. Please remove that video as it’s no good and is a total waste of time. Shipping was faster than anticipated so I can’t blame the seller.

Product is ok/bad delivery company!
The machine is ok., well! after fixing damage from delivery. The product was left on sidewalk with half box left and all the bad handling were bending some parts during shipping. Now a days Fedex and UPS don’t care to deliver products broken!
