Fired up and just worked out of the box. Very efficent and powerful.
I used this with a Reliance Controls Pro/Tran 30-Amp 6-Circuit transfer switch. I converted the TT-30P on the unit with a NEMA TT-30P to L14-30R RV Generator Adapter,30 Amp 3 Prong to 4 Prong Adapter. I understood I would only be hooking up 120 volt circuits and did not have need for 240.Given the size of the unit, it felt adequately powerful and efficient. I left eco off and it fired right up on first start on propane with remote start fob (which was already paired). I started with one switch moved to generator from line and tested if it it could tote my Frigidaire FHPC082AC1 portable air conditioner and gaming PC which it didn't even break a sweat on. I flipped a couple more rooms on, another computer, tv, some lights, and barely hit 25% at times when the AC did the inrush of current to engage the compressor and it dropped back down. I kept it under 1.5 kVA and ran it for an hour alternating the loads (supposed to not exceed half capacity for the first five hours). It ran like a top, and I look forward to using the generator again. Very satisfied.performance, and ease of use of the electricity generator. They mention it's super quiet, performs fantastically, and is easy to unpack and set up. Some appreciate that it starts up right away, is easy to carry, and puts out plenty of power. They also mention the remote start is a great feature and appreciate the build quality.

Great purchase, quiet, lots of power!
This is a fantastic generator, very quiet. We use this to power our 30a RV and the sound is barely noticeable from inside the trailer. Super easy to start, and the included remote makes it easy to control without having to leave the RV. Plenty of power enough to power everything in our unit including the AC.We run primarily on gasoline, but having the option for propane is a great safety net when we're off grid.Highly recommend this generator!!

Easy set up and the unit runs flawlessly
I received the iGen 4500 about a week ago in order to provide portable power for our new 30 foot trailer. My wife and have tested the unit and found the set up relatively easy. I added the oil but errored and didn't screw in the small yellow oil stopper and gauge correctly and slightly overfilled the oil reservoir. You must be sure to screw in the stopper straight in order to get an accurate gauge reading of oil level. I had to use a bulb syringe and remove about one ounce of oil until the gauge showed that I had the proper amount of oil. My wife started the unit via the key fob and it immediately fired up and ran without hesitation. In fact, each start of the motor resulted in a successful start the first attempt each time. The instructions advise to run the unit for 5 hours at half or less of the stated capacity and we are 3 hours into that process now. We have kept the unit in the shade but despite the elevated summer temperatures of the low California desert, the unit is running flawlessly. We decided to run the RV air conditioner using the 30-amp outlet. We decided to purchase the gasoline single powered unit to contain costs and figured that gasoline is available everywhere and would suit our purposes just fine.Having heard many generators over the years, this unit runs relatively quiet and only modestly increased in volume when we ran the unit and about half its stated capacity. The unit provided consistent power to the ac unit with no problems. I did not notice any excessive heat and the unit sounded very consistent in a relatively low noise level. The retractable handle allows easy maneuverability, and I was able to move the unit and store it in the garage after each use. The controls and buttons and digital screen readouts are well placed and allows the user to easily monitor the functions of the generator. The unit provided clean power to run a television within the RV. We decided to purchase an inverter type for the RV as I have a television and expect to use various two-way radios and scanners inside the RV and the inverter type provides a better wave form for electronics. Other type of generators might harm sensitive electronics and circuits, so we opted for the inverter type with cleaner waveform generation. As per the manual, it recommends the purchase of a high-altitude kit (which I ordered) for use over 2000 feet. I'm not sure how 2000 feet is considered high altitude but I ordered the kit as many of our destinations will be at elevations over 5000 feet. I watched a YouTube video and it seems like replacement of the small fuel flow element will take quite a bit of work to open the case, remove a few parts and install the element. I will have to see how the unit performs at different elevations. Thus far, my wife and I are happy with the functionality of the generator and recommend others to purchase this unit.

Powerful, quiet, remote start. Messy when moved.
I looked through a lot of generator options, and this one was a good balanced option between ease of use and load it could handle. If I need more load capacity, I can add another one in series. This is also the heaviest generator my wife could move around our property, if she needed to. If she used the extendable handle she'd get gas everywhere, but more on that later. It is very quiet for how large of a generator it is.Remote start is really really cool. The remote start fob is of automobile quality, battery included. This appears to be the most cost-efficient non-open frame generator available in early 2025, so despite my 4/5 review, if you are on the fence of a generator with a built-in inverter vs an open frame generator - get this one. I do recommend it.4 of 5 stars because after initial setup, it left quite a bit of oil in the spot I had left it after it ran, coming from the panel for the oil dipstick and draining onto the wheel adjacent to that. That might be user error. The other contributing thing was that moving the generator with the extendable handle causes quite an oil and gas slosh / spill situation, so it's really not all that mobile once it's ready to run unless you're going over a surface you don't mind getting oil and gas on in which case the wheels are probably undersized for that surface (grass or gravel?) and because the instructions say to ensure you don't leave gas on the exterior plastic cover, you can't just treat it as a dirty tool when that happens, you need to wipe it up or risk damaging the cover.
