My favorite face wash for breakouts!
I have acne prone, oily but also dry, sensitive, textured, combination skin. I bought this to use during my breakouts and it is now one of my favorites! I have tried so so so many products over the years and this is one that I am glad to have spent the money on.It isn't too harsh (doesn't exacerbate dryness) and it doesn't sting with application which is sometimes an issue due to my skin sensitivity. It works up a good lather and helps me with clearing my skin quickly and keeping my skin clear. My skin feels super clean and soft after I use it, and it doesn't completely strip my skin or exacerbate my oil production. It has a nice clean scent.I was hesitant to spend the money on this, but the tube is BIG compared to other products on the market and the tube lasts me a very very long time. I HIGHLY recommend this face wash if you are looking for a good cleanser that actually works.Hope this helps!

Absolutely Worth It!
The La Roche-Posay Acne Skin Care Set is fantastic and totally worth it! The cleanser with salicylic acid and the matte moisturizer with niacinamide have noticeably improved my skin. Highly recommend!

So far so good
I really like the refreshing feeling of the gel after washing it off. The smell is a bit strong to me but it cleanses the skin well. It will dry out your skin because it has salicylic acid, which is known to exfoliate and help shed dead skin cells. The moisturizer is also double matte, which also has an intended drying effect. If you use a heavier skin cream, it shouldn't be a problem. I think it's a good product.

If you haven’t tried it, do it now!
I started using this just by chance when I picked it up at target. Now I get it through Amazon so I’m never without. I can’t use cream based cleansers-breakout city all over my face in like 2 days. I don't like anything with an abrasive texture or fruity scent. In my crazy mind, less Is more when it comes to skincare. This smell clean, not too strong. I have a normal skin texture in the summer, not oily not dry. In the winter, it can get dry. I’d consider my skin somewhat sensitive. I have used this face wash for over a year and there’s maybe a handful of nights in that time I didn’t wash my face before bed. This has never dried me out. I will say in the winter months my face feels a little tight after using it but I moisture right after. No skin flaking issues or dry patches. It lathers well and is a pretty thick consistency so you don’t need a lot. I probably go through 3ish bottles a year (I only use at night, usually). I noticed an improvement in the texture and blemishes on my face shortly after my first time using this. I get a hormonal zit here and there but my face just looks clean and brighter. I recommend to everyone anytime the topic of skincare comes up! MyMom and sisters are hooked.

Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleasner: Non-toxic & Recommended by Dermatologist
I have sensitive skin, and this stuff does not burn. My dermatologist recommended washing with La Roche Posay Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser (ewg score of 1) in the morning, and this particular salicylic acid cleanser in the evening. Luckily, this cleanser has a score of 4 on ewg.com/skindeep, with the only ingredients flagged being salicylic acid and menthol - which I particularly *do* want in this product.I use this after removing my makeup with "Farmacy Makeup Remover Cleansing Balm - Green Clean - EWG VERIFIED" at night. I lather with small circles for 30-60 seconds on areas of my face with acne. Also, I was prescribed spironolactone because I get mostly acne on my chin, indicating hormonal acne. Every Monday, I mix a pea-sized amount of 0.025% retinol with a generous dollop of my night cream (Sea Kind Fortify Cell Renewal Night Cream - EWG VERIFIED), and after months of being prescribed retinol and spironolactone, in conjunction with these cleansers, my skin is finally clearing up and glowing. Lastly, I would choose this cleanser over less-expensive salicylic cleansers because it does not irritate my sensitive skin.
