Great product! Read ALL instructions for best results!
It took me awhile to figure out how to change modes. Once you use the middle button to turn the unit on, press again to select the mode. Then use the left button to achieve the power you want to use. My feet didn't feel much at first and I thought the unit wasn't working or that it wouldn't work for me. The more I use this, the more I can feel the massaging or current action. Don't give up too soon! My ankle swelling went down eventually. I checked out more than this unit on Amazon, but the reviews were what drew me back to this unit. I don't know if it will work for you, but it does for me. It easily charges with the included USB cord.

No Explanation of 8 Modes
In multiple places they tout the "8 modes" as a benefit of the product but there is ZERO explanation of each of the eight modes, or when /how to use them. SEVERAL persons have asked that question. I asked the question and got back this answer from Amazon: "We sent your question about Phixnozar EMS Foot Massager... to the Amazon community and unfortunately none of them have yet responded. Questions remain unanswered when we do not have enough customers to ask or when the question is particularly difficult to answer. At this point your question is unlikely to receive an answer, but it will remain posted on Amazon and we will notify you if anyone responds."This is UNACCEPTABLE --- the community should not be burdened with answering .... the MANUFACTURER who is earning money should answer. A competitive product DOES give an explanation of their modes ... along the lines of "X mode" promotes blood circulation and "Y mode" stimulates accu points to relieve fatigue" and "Z mode" strengthens arches. etc. etc. It's not clear of their modes correspond to this product -- and I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO FIGURE THAT OUT!! I cannot recommend this product, my advice is to find the other one that has explanations in their copy text and videos and purchase that one, instead of being left in the dark with this one --- or tasked with figuring it out for yourself. I'm seriously BUMMED over this and don't want you to be in the same situation.UPDATE 8/30th: The Manufacturer responded with an explanation of the 8 modes. See Linkhttps://www.amazon.com/ask/questions/asin/B0C19ZX7Y1/2/ref=ask_ql_psf_ql_hzaScroll down to an Aug 30th question that begins with: "Modes? Your competitor says...." and the description of the 8 modes is provided as their answer.

Absolutely helps
I had to return the first mat I bought as it stopped working after a few days.I am very happy with this replacement foot massager mat. It does everything it advertises! And more importantly for me it does help with the pain ….old age….in my legs. It has considerably reduced the numbness in my toes to almost nonexistent! And it being so lightweight and easy to charge I can take it along on my trips abroad. One of the best purchases I have made recently.

Tolerance?
I have constant pain in both feet but don't want to keep going to therapy once a month for only temporary relief which is expensive. Therefore I decided to try this out because it's affordable to me. It seems to provide a temporary relief but I believe I form a tolerance for its effectiveness if over used. Once every two or three days seems to get rid of the pain in my feet for a day or two but if I try to use the "pad" every day the symptoms return almost immediately after using the therapy. I used the "pad" every day for about a week and noted its ineffectiveness but if I waited a day or two and then used the "pad" my pain went away. Also, one of the symptoms of my foot/leg problems were that the lower calves became discolored (got darker) and were very cold. After use of the "pad" the discoloration went away and my calves weren't cold at all. I can only get two 20 min. sessions out of each charge of the control unit before I have to recharge it but, it recharges quickly...about 10 min. to charge the unit. Also, other buyers stated the unit/pad isn't as effective on their left foot/leg as it is with the right foot/leg. I usually use the "massage" feature and when using the "pad" and I can feel the muscles in both calves twitching involuntarily which is an indicator its working. I can feel the twitching in both calves when using it so I'm assuming the other users got defective units or they're not using it properly (forming a tolerance to its effectiveness from over use). I raise the number to 14 for the best results...for me. If the unit lasts for a year or more I'll come back and give it a 5 star rating.

Works for what I need
The first one I tried worked only one time, but I think it's because the connectors at the snaps on the mat broke when I was disconnecting the controller, because it didnt come off easily. I put it to charge and the next day it didnt work. The second one has been working since I received it. I would recommend not disconnecting the controller, because it may break the connections on the mat. These mats are not really meant for folding, even though they said it is. I just connect a USB-C cable to the controller, while still connected to the mat for charging.I have been using this for the neuropathy I have in my left foot due to a spinal injury. I can feel the jolts of electricity going through my foot to above my ankle. The sensation has been getting stronger in my left foot, so that's a good thing.
