Good Solid-Brass Fittings Do The Job Perfectly!
It's nice when one can still find the kind of traditional high quality that used to be more common in the old days. So much of what we're offered these days is cheaper and not as dependably functional as that we grew up with. This solid brass quick connect for gas is a heavy, quality casting with a great finish. But in addition, it has really good sealing properties because of the properly sized gasket. After installation as a quick-connect for my gas grill, I tested the fitting and it was tight with absolutely no leaks. But I didn't expect any because I could feel how snug the connection was even before installation.If you are familiar and comfortable with installing gas fittings you'll have no trouble as it's a typical straight forward job. The kit comes with a matching threaded brass adapter if you need it too. If you're not a person who knows about working with gas lines and fittings then the expert you hire will appreciate your providing this quality fitting. Very pleased and works perfectly!

Quality
This is exactly what I needed. I have a propane heater at my camp. This is very convenient to hook the tank up when needed and disconnect it for storage, summer months, etc. The cap is great to keep dirt, water, bugs, etc out of the line when not in use. Works very smooth with little effort. I did check it and move it around to see if it had any leaks and there were no leaks while testing this.

Great solution for us
Apparently most home stores will sell you a NG grill, but will sell you a $100 connection kit. We just needed the female fitting as we already had the all the other parts but we moved and left the connector on our old house. This was a great solution to that issue instead of buying a bunch of parts to throw away.
