So Far It's Great!
It has met all expectations so far, Easy to assemble. Looks great. Well made. Highly adjustable. Very comfortable seat and back. Moves easily on a low pile carpet. The packaging was mostly cardboard, but they could have used more sustainable padded paper like IKEA instead of heavy plastic to protect the seat and mesh back. Not sure the chair is worth its list price of nearly $640, but at a 42% Amazon discount, plus 5% rebate on the Amazon credit card, it seems like a bargain given the reviews, warranty and HON's reputation for reliability. Can't tell if it is American made or not, but I know much of HON's furniture is made in the US.

Comfortable, but it takes a day to get used to
I read many great reviews for this product, and it was highly recommended by another external consumer review site. The chair came in a HUGE box that was bulky and heavy to move about, but I could slide it into my house from the outside. The instructions for assembly were very easy to follow, and it took me less than 30 minutes to assemble. Admittedly, when I first sat in the chair, I thought it was uncomfortable, and I was pretty disappointed. All of the reviews had stated how supportive it was, so I was surprised that it didn't seem like it would be a great chair. That being said, it would have taken too much effort to box it back up, so I decided to keep it, and I am glad I did! It took a few days to "break-in," but now I love it. It is a very supportive chair, but it is now super comfortable as well. A great purchase!

Pay attention to minimum seat height even if you are medium tall
As we were assembling this chair, we were really impressed with the quality. Yes, like most office chairs, it is mostly plastic; but this is very high quality plastic! The chair looks good, rolls very smoothly, has a thick firm seat that has adjustable seat depth. Loved the adjustable arms. I was so looking forward to enjoying this chair for many years to come. Just needed to make one more easy adjustment, make it just a little lower for a perfect fit. Nope! It was already at its lowest height. How could a short person use this chair? I'm medium tall with legs long enough that I appreciated the adjustable seat depth, and I could not use this chair. Though my feet were flat on the floor, my thighs angled down and I felt as if I were going to slide out of the chair, a very uncomfortable feeling. I wish office chairs were shipped fully assembled so that they could be more easily returned. But the assembly was wonderfully simple. The printed directions were not great, but we found a little HON video that made it perfectly clear, and it took very little time. I didn't think to time it, but estimate that it took perhaps ten minutes. Comes with just three bolts and a little wrench. So easy. So sorry it didn't work out for me.

Wow You Get What You Pay For - Great Chair!
I had the $170 on sale for $80 chair from an office supply house that I used for a few years, but I was having a lot of trouble with pain in my back and right arm. I'm a super fit person spending too much time in a chair like this, at least until I retire, in the chair 10 hours a day, getting up frequently. This chair everything adjusts - the arms both height and how close they are to the body, the back, the height. Really comfortable! The installation instructions were not good at all but they have a 2 minute youtube video, got it assembled in 10. Love it!

Well-built, but terribly uncomfortable
I sold mine on Craigslist for $100. Happy to not have to look at it anymore - a reminder of how much money I wasted on it.I tried to like it. I gave it every chance. I made excuses for this thing like I was in an abusive relationship. And in many ways, I was. For 3 months I was telling myself I can simply get used to it, that it wasn't so bad, and that I was happy and thriving.Today, with a months-long sore back, I finally admitted that it's trash and bought a new one. The seller has refused a refund because I wasted too much time being in denial about it. I think they call it the "Ignition" because it makes you want to burn it.Review:I am 6'0", 185 lbs, 33 years old and have never had back problemsThis chair is sturdy and made with solid materials and it looks nice. I have no doubt it will last many many years of daily use. *Unfortunately* it's tragically uncomfortable to sit in, rendering it essentially worthless.-The recline tensioner is too stiff to lean back in it easily, even at the lowest setting-The lumbar support actually *hurts* your back by jutting into it. I removed it entirely which helped a little but now there's no lumbar support-The seatbottom is not long enough and falls several inches short of my knees even when I sit all the way at the back of the chair. I would like my entire thigh to have something under it and this chair just doesn't offer that. I know this sounds like a petty complaint but it really is obscene sitting on this. It's like a jump seat on an aircraft. It's enough to support you, but only your butt, not your legs.-On top of that, the seat is a little slippery, so you're always sliding ever FARTHER down the seat, especially when you exert the MONUMENTAL force needed to lean back in this chair-The backrest stops well below the shoulders. I knew this chair didn't have a headrest but I expected to at least be able to lean back and have my neck rest on something. Nope. You can't relax in this thing. It's the type of chair an office building would buy to make sure its workers don't enjoy even one second of being at work. Can't have employees being comfortable or they might doze off! A little bit of pain keeps you alert after all! There are much better office chairs out there for this price. Skip this one.
