This ham is cut and packaged ready to use, which is a giant plus for this product. I like this product a lot, but I must compare it to my all time favorite which is Cracker Barrel's country ham. Understand that taste is a very subjective thing among people, and I rate it using my own personal taste buds. Yours may be entirely different.I will most likely buy this product again for it's ease of use and good taste. Buying the Cracker Barrel country ham is expensive and cumbersome since you must slice it yourself, which is the big deterrent.

I may be the only customer from the delivery of this product to the pan 10 minutes . Growing up in the South I know good country ham vs average. And yes I make buttermilk biscuits from scratch like Mama and Grandmama made and now country ham like Grand Daddy made. Life is good.

I order regularly. So good. Perfect thickness for biscuits.

Grew up in the South and family raised hogs and cured ham in the Smokey Mountains of Virginia. Excess salt during the cure sometimes happens. This ham was really salty and some family members could not eat it with pleasure, even with buttermilk biscuits!! Suggest quality control needs to pay attention, unless you deliberately wish to burn the taste buds off of your customer's tongues.Will not purchase again for fear of repeat.

No dislikes I ordered this brand because it was described as salt cured. It was exactly what I expected salty but delicious. If you want salt cured ham this one is hard to beat.

Think if it was rinsed off it might be better. I liked the actual taste of the ham but both husband and I had to drink a ton of water all day.
