So, if you're familiar at ALL with English wheels, you know that the vast majority of them are large, industrial-sized devices that take up more room than a hydraulic shop press. Most of them are HUGE, and cost in the thousands of dollars, which puts them out of the hands of people that either can't afford such an expensive piece of equipment, or simply don't have room in their shop for a giant monster English wheel.When I saw this, I frankly wasn't even aware that "benchtop" English wheels existed. Because I do a LOT of metal fab work, I absolutely couldn't resist the chance to not only test this delightful little tool out, but also to add it to my metal-fab arsenal. Because I do NOT have room for a giant English wheel, lol, but I can certainly find space for this one.Of course a wheel of this size isn't really suited to working with huge pieces of metal, but most of the fab work I do is for things like bicycle frames and home-built go-karts. Which consists mostly of smaller pieces of metal, PERFECT for this. I'll tell you the first place I'm going to use this is to make some pieces for my trike that I'm working on, but one of the accessories that you should consider for this wheel is some tube rollers for bending tubing. If you visit the Quaintfab store (which I highly recommend you do, as they have a LOT of good metal fab tools), you will see that they sell tube rollers that will fit this wheel, which opens this up to doing custom bicycle frame tubing bends RIGHT ON MY WORKBENCH!Point blank, this tool is the #1 new addition to my workshop arsenal since I got my Mig welder. The way it comes, you can begin shaping sheet metal immediately. As in, set it up (which takes probably half an hour if you're slow and methodical like I am), and get to work. It's built like a TANK. I'm definitely not going to be afraid to do some metal work with this, it's made so strong. It comes with an excellent selection of flat and round rollers (for doing single-axis curves, like say a barrel hoop, or compound-curves, like a gas tank or fender), so it's very versatile out of the box.And it gets even MORE versatile, if you pick up a few different size tube rollers for bending tubing, which I frankly plan to do soon.I really can't say enough about this English wheel. For a metal fab guy like myself, this is like one of the "holy grails" of metal-work. And it doesn't take up half my shop. And it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Super happy with this, and if you do metal fab work, I can tell you for certain that you'll definitely get your money's worth from this tool. 5 stars, well deserved.

This is built like a battleship. Solid, well finished, and a skill challenge well worth it. I'm planning to school on this as there are master craftspeople who produce metal magic with the English Wheel.No is my opportunity to learn and refine these timeless skills:))) The die pins are very tight. I used some emery to smooth the ends. Missing one snap ring? You'll need a snap ring tool for small to medium rings.I found some pin (axles?) fit some dies easier than others? Easy to adjust and lovely to operate with the generous beautiful set of dies. Fortunately, it's addictive and quite relaxing to concentrate on the zen of shaping metal sheet. What this can do is only limited by the size of the throat and your skills. Amazing!

Haven’t used it just took a Quick Look it’s for my husband for Christmas.I will say I choose this one after looking for them on different websites as Well as Amazon and this one had the best reviews . I did buy the extended warranty as I don’t know a lot about these so figure better safe for an extra 24.00.
