Quite small, but does strike well to flatten maleable metal.
This hammer is placed together with my TIG welder. The flat surface is smooth and glossy, very hard surface. I've used it many times to strike some sheet metal as I did have to customize my own air ventilation ducting for ceramic coating paint room. The hammer has a small square strike, but it's all it takes to slowly make the sheet metal conform.I've also used this hammer when rebuilding my blasting cabinet because the sheet metals are kind of thin, and the mating creases do bend and distort quite easily. With a flat anvil under, this hammer does a great job smashing the uneven surfaces away, doesn't bowl up after the strike. One small gripe I do want to make is about it's size. This is some pretty light weight hammer, so it does take more strikes to work with large pieces. But in a nutshell, great flat hammer, has a very comfy rubber grip, and it's very easy to clean the whole thing with WD-40 and shop towel. Another feature I noticed is the metal material is some high grade stuff. After so many hard strikes, this hammer doesn't have an oxidation point to get rust at all. That speaks a lot for the type of forging and the metallurgy within. Good stuff.

Heavy sheet metal hammer, nice grip
We've lived on our property for over 50 years, and the house and outbuildings are almost double that age. Together we've changed the shake roof to a metal roof on our home, built a chicken coop and pen, and put metal roofing on them, we're getting ready to build a storage area for our lawn mower and ATVs, which will also have a metal roof. My husband repairs just about everything that breaks, and the tools we have available are important. It's always good to have the right tool for the job!

Comfortable sheet metal hammer
This is in a great weight range where it can do almost everything a normal person would need with sheet metal. It is sturdy and well made. The handle feels solid and comfortable. I feel this is a safe tool.

Nice sheet metal hammer
This is a well made simple sheet metal hammer that gets the job done, and comes in at a fair price.

Horrible hammer
March 3rd: Product came used . I opened the box and the hammers head and end has dings and chips and Sheetrock residue… even some rust at the top. Weird. They are sending a replacement so we will see. 1 star until I get what I ordered .NEW NOT USEDUPDATE: March 4thThey sent me a new one. It just arrived. HORRIBLE . Horrible manufacturing. It’s new but Idk who made this but the top is supposed to be flat and there’s a huge dip! Not happy with this product at all. Advice… spend the $14 more dollars and get a estwing tinners hammer.

Good quality metal hammer
I am an artist who works with lithographed tin and I needed a flat head hammer for deconstructing tin objects and flattening the tin for creative uses. This tool is very sturdy, comfortable, substantial weight but not too heavy, and does the job. Very happy with this product.

Solid and comfortable handle
This is a well made solid hammer. I got it for some simple sheet metal work but mostly as a chipping hammer when welding. It has enough weight to give a good whack. The handle is formed of hard rubber that gives you shock absorption and fits your hand good.

While primarily a tinner’s hammer, it can also be used as a chip hammer.
This is a nicely made general tinner’s and chipper hammer. Not really something you would want to use around welding due to the handle construction, but it will work if you are careful.Balance is good and the weight is good for general sheet metal work.I would recommend it.
