High quality! Perfect replacement for my old range vent that got badly damaged from ice falling from the roof. It slid right over the existing vent duct without any trouble thanks to the pre-cut slits in the corners. It's very well made, sturdy and functional. The vent flapper seals tight and opens well even on the lowest fan setting which is very low. It also opens up fully on the highest setting. The sturdy screen is easily removed if you ever need to remove it and should keep large bugs, birds and little critters out. It also has a really good paint job, and it comes with a parts list and ordering instructions if you ever need a replacement part in the future. It's worth the money.

Great quality item to replace my very old vent hood while replacing my exterior home siding. It also matches the color of my new siding which is dark gray.

I was enclosing a deck area and wanted to include a barbecue in that area so needed a way to vent it. I ordered a commercial range hood and then had to decide on how to vent to the outside. When this wall cap became available, I decided to order it and try it. Here is what I found:1. This is a very solid unit that is well made, has an insect screen and a vent close off included.2. I was able to mate it up to 6 inch vent tubing using a adapter. This made it easy to go from the hood and to then vent through a narrow opening I had available in the wall. I have great airflow out of it and no restrictions showing up when airflow is measured.3. Black color made it easy to match it up with the rock I was installing around it.4. Damper works well keeping drafts out.I am pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone who has a similar need.

This is a very sturdy unit with thick metal for the casing. Had no issues installing this product.

I bought this after being disappointed by the poor quality of the replacement wall vent cap I bought at the orange big box store. This one is made of heavier gauge metal and is substantially better engineered. Glad I replaced the cheaply made vent cap.

This is a heavy duty wall cap made of thick metal unlike the tinfoil aluminum ones found in the big box stores. I dinged one star because, like with another Broan 4" round cap I purchased to vent a bathroom fan, the finish guys at the Broan factory need some CMFE (Continuing Metalwork Finishing Education) as both wall caps had mis-aligned and missing insulation. For this one, there was only foam insulation along the bottom of the wall cap against which the spring-loaded flapper seals (picture a rectangle - only the bottom long side had foam insulation - the left and right sides and top were missing insulation). Moreover, this single strip of insulation was mis-aligned, so that there was a gap at the end. If you live where the winters are cold, it's critical for your vent cap flapper to have a tight and complete seal, otherwise cold air entering the microwave could cause frozen condensation to build up inside the microwave. After removing the bird screening (it's held in by friction) I had to carefully and slowly pull up the insulation strip and re-seat it in the proper place. Then, I had to make a trip to big orange for some 3/8" wide by 3/16" thick foam insulation, and once applied to the missing three sides, that sucker was sealed up tight when the flapper was down. In my particular installation, I had to trim back the part that sticks through the wall. Due to the heavy gauge metal, tin snips were out of the question. My jig saw with a metal cutting blade made quick work of it, but consider ear protection because cutting flapping metal is not a quiet affair. Even after MacGuyvering this to my satisfaction, I'd buy it again because of the heavy duty gauge of the metal. Just be prepared to do Broan's finishing work for them.

Great product, looks and works better than I seen in other departments stores. Just have to paint it the color you want.I didn't need it, so I like to return it.

I used this for a microwave/range exhaust fan. It works perfectly. I couldn't find a better made vent anywhere, for any price. I would recommend this to a friend.

Great, well built product! I"m very happy with the outcome and quality of the wall cap. the fact that it's powder coated adds to it's value too. It looks so much better on the wall than a galvanized wall cap did.

I like the quality, design and finish. Definitely well made and sturdy.I needed a second damper in my range hood duct as the one built into the hood used to bang a lot on windy days. With this installed as well as the original damper this is no longer a problem. Even on the windiest days there is no banging.
