Very nice, I like!
UPDATE (2019-03-15): I've now got more than 110 miles on the bike and still loving it. The longest ride I did was 28.5 miles and the display was still showing about two bars left on the battery. But the battery gauge is not accurate. Even when it went down to two bars it would also jump back up to 4 bars and stay that way for awhile. So it's really hard to tell how much power you have left. On one ride, after 14 miles the pedal assist stopped working all of a sudden. I stopped and re-seated the cadence sensor and it started working again. Even when PAS didn't work the throttle was still working. It hasn't happened since. There was also a lot of rattling noises which I found was the battery rattling around in the mounting bracket. I was thinking of what I could do to make it rattle less when I noticed a loose screw inside the battery mount near the lock. Once I tightened this up, the battery was more secure in the mount and the rattling stopped. So check all the screws to be sure they are secure. These are the only problems I have experienced and it has quickly become my favorite bike. It's really a lot of fun to ride.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I've had this bike only a few days and put about 25 miles on it, including one 21 mile ride. It's mostly flat where I live so I can't comment on performance on hills but after my 21 mile ride I still had a lot of battery power left, so much so that I suspected the gauge was inaccurate. I did a mix of throttle only and PAS level 2 and 3 (out of 5) riding. PAS level 3 is where I found the assist began to be most noticeable. I plan to use this for fun and exercise and will ride further over the weekend to see how long it takes to exhaust the battery and update this review. Having never used an electric bike I was interested in buying an inexpensive model to satisfy my curiosity so I compared this against the Ancheer Power Plus and Merax electric bike. I chose the Rattan for several reasons. First, the battery capacity was greater than either of those other two. Secondly I felt the frame was nicer, especially over the Ancheer because it has internal cable routing and the disc brake inside the rear triangle, rather than outside the triangle. I find this more aesthetically pleasing but it also protects the brake mechanism better. Finally, the Rattan bike has an LCD display that shows the speed and distance travelled, among other things, which neither of the other two have. It's also got a 350W motor which is rare at this price level. Two days after I bought this bike the seller lowered the price by $50 which was pretty upsetting considering that I hadn't even received it. I raised this issue with the seller and they agreed to refund the $50 after I received the bike and they were true to their word which obviously gave me a good feeling about the seller. Amazon says it would take a week or two to receive but I got mine in a week and that included a one day delay UPS experienced due to bad weather and travel the full width of the country. The bike arrived in good condition and I spent about an hour to assemble it. You will need to attach the pedals, handlebars and front wheel. Allen wrenches and open end wrench are included and since I've done this before didn't even need any instructions, which are pretty minimal anyway. You'll also need a Philips and/or flat head screwdriver. Tuning will also be necessary when it comes to the brakes and shifting. My initial attempt at adjusting the brakes didn't go well but the second attempt got them usable but I either need to do more adjustment or they don't have much stopping power, probably the former. The shifting was fine on my initial test ride but on the 21 mile ride I couldn't get the chain onto the smallest cog. I didn't fix this yet but I don't think it's a big deal, just tweaking some screws. I bring this up only to note that you should be a little bit handy if you are going to build and tune yourself. If you're the type that thinks a hammer can fix anything then opt for the assembly option or take it to a mechanic. But it's really not that difficult. There was a missing part, one of the end caps on the handlebars. After emailing the seller they said they would ship one out. So I'm pretty pleased with the Customer Service. The pictures in the listing in the "From the manufacturer" section accurately depict what you will get with the exception of the front light mount which is shown correctly at the top of the listing. In the short time I've had it I've been able to go 21 mph using throttle only on a flat road and like I said 21 miles with plenty of battery power left so I think the specs listed are accurate. The frame fits me well. I am 5'9" tall with a 32" inseam so if you're anywhere near that, give or take a few inches, it should fit you too. This bike is seriously a lot of fun! For the price I don't think you can go wrong. Of course it's impossible to say at this point how reliable it will be, only time will tell. If you shop around you'll see the big names are ridiculously expensive compared to the Rattan while comparable second tier name brands are nearly double the price. I would definitely buy this again and can't wait to get it back out on the road! Here's a rundown of the components and a little commentary:THE GOODDisplay: Great! Shows speed, trip distance, odometer, battery level remaining, PAS level and current draw. At this price level most ebikes don't have a display like this and it saves you from having to buy and install a speedometer. Mine came set for kilometers and there are no instructions for how to change this. I contacted the seller and they replied to long press the power and down buttons together to toggle between KPH and MPH. This worked but they should include documentation for this display and all its options. Google for "TC480 Display Manual" and you should find a PDF file that describes its features. You can also email Customer Service and they will email a copy to you.Battery: 10.4Ah, unheard of at this price level!Motor: CZJB-90H is the only identifying mark. 350W, which I understand is a function of motor, battery and controller. Performed well on my initial ride. It's not silent but makes a satisfying whirring noise.Frame: Feels like a quality build with nice matte black finish and red accents. Inside rear triangle has mounting location for disc brakes which you usually don't find on bikes at this price level.Tires: CST JET branded, 26 x 2.1", seem to be OK, also used on the Merax. I had a few small thorns stick on the tires but thankfully they didn't penetrate to the tube. They're not very knobby which is good for paved surfaces. But I will opt for something narrower and smoother when they wear out.Wheels: Not sure if they are double wall or not. The graphics on the wheel are just stickers so you can peel them off if you don't like them.Fork: Certainly not for off road use but fine for paved trails and streets to smooth out bumps. It does have some adjusters on left and right side, presumably for preload but I didn't mess with them.Handlebars: About 635mm wide, nice finish, feels good and sturdy, wider in the middle where it connects to the stemStem: 90mm, same nice finish as the handlebars, appears to be of good qualityGrips: They are leather which I didn't think I'd like but they feel good and lock on the handlebars and don't move. I'm keeping them on.Brake levers: Wuxing brand (never heard of them). They feel good and have a built in sensor so the motor stops when brake is activated.Shifter: Shimano SL-TX50-7R, one of Shimano's cheapest but so far it works and truth be told, in my area I barely need to change gears so it's adequate.Saddle: I was prepared for this to be an uncomfortable piece of crap that I'd want to replace immediately. But surprisingly it's fairly comfortable and I'm not even used to long rides so I'm keeping it. For reference, I bought two other BBB, a Schwinn and a Redline and I replaced the saddles on both due to lack of comfort. So when I say this is fairly comfortable that means a lot. Also it comes with a light that clips on to the saddle frame which is USB chargeable and quite bright and has several different options (steady, flashing, etc). This is a great addition that would otherwise cost an additional $10 - $20 so it's a nice bonus.Brakes: 160mm rotors, Filel brand calipers. These are the same brand as on other inexpensive Chinese bikes. They are easily adjustable. There are videos on YouTube that are not Filel specific but show how to adjust similar brakes. One nice thing about the frame is it has mount points for cables for hydraulic brakes should you choose to upgrade yours.Front light: very bright, would be nice if it were mounted higher though. It is very close to the tire and illuminates the tire too much instead of the road.Cabling: Nicely done. Wrapped together for neatness and internally routed in the down tube and top tube.Pedals: Wellgo brand, metal. Slightly narrower than I'd like but they are grippy and feel good otherwise.Crank arms: Prowheel branded, some sort of metal, adequate.Freewheel: Shimano MF-TZ500-7 14-34t 7 speed freewheel. I would prefer a cassette but what do you expect at this price point? There are other ebikes that are way more expensive than this that use a freewheel too. An 11 tooth small cog would have been nice as I found myself not being able to pedal as fast as I'd like on PAS level 5.Rear derailluer: Shimano Tourney, I'm guessing it's the RD-TY300-SGS model.THE BADPhone holder: Mine arrived broken. The button on the side wouldn't open the adjustable clamps. I forced them open by hand but honestly I wouldn't trust my Galaxy S9+ with this thing. I wouldn't have the confidence that it would securely hold the phone if I went over some bumps so even if it were working I don't think I'd use mine. The mounting clamp is also not large enough to mount the phone holder in the middle of the handle bars so you can only put it on the narrow portion of the bars and these are riser bars so you are left with the phone at an awkward angle, completely worthless. Another extremely dumb thing in my opinion is that this phone holder is also wired in to the electronics in order to provide power to a USB port, presumably to charge your phone. I want my bike's battery to be used to power the bike so I can go as far as possible not do stupid things like charge my phone. I removed mine, it's a piece of crap.Kickstand: Nice that this is mounted towards the rear of the frame but it is not mounted far back enough. The mounting bracket is welded to the frame so nothing you can do about it. Due to the fact that it sticks out so far I sometimes hit my heel on it while pedaling. You need to be careful where you place your foot on the pedal. I find this very annoying and a design flaw. I may remove this kickstand and try to find another to mount further back.In conclusion I'm quite happy with this bike and would definitely buy it again. There's far more good than bad and even some great going for it. For what you get for the price you would have a hard time doing any better. If it holds up over time it will be a fantastic buy. Mechanical components are standard so even if any of those break you will have no trouble replacing them with higher quality alternatives. So it mostly comes down to the motor, battery, controller, display and sensors holding up over the long term. Batteries do wear out so hopefully the seller will sell replacements in the future. But again, even similar batteries can be found on eBay or Amazon so I'm not too worried about it.I'll try to remember to update this review in the future to let prospective buyers know how it holds up. Like I said before though I'm a recreational rider so it will not get as beaten up as it might by a commuter. But I certainly recommend anyone in the market for an inexpensive ebike to strongly consider the Rattan.

So far so good
The bike was shipped the day after order, it arrived in excellent condition, set up and assembly was easy and fast.I have to admit this bike seems to be of pretty good quality, I was nervous, you never know from online photos, and there was a total lack of customer reviews. This bike seemed to have the minimum specs. I was looking for, it looked cool and at the time it had an excellent price. So far I have not been disappointed, the bike looks and feels great. I have only had about 5 minutes of riding so far, the weather has been to cold for much longer rides, but it felt solid and responsive. So far this has been a positive experience.Ps, I will update when I've had more riding time.Update, i have a few more miles on the bike, so far i have not been disappointed. The motor seems powerful and smooth, PAS takes a bit of getting use to, it does take alot of the load. Over all the bike feels steady and sturdy, and of good quality. I would recommend this bike for the price.ppss, Weather got a little better, took the bike for a ride on Hood Canal, great fun, good bike.

Better quality than expected and Great customer service!
I would recommend to anyone. I highly recommend buying from this seller.E Bike is exactly what I expected, bought it about a month ago.Took about 2 hours to assemble and make adjustments. Bike works great. Using LG as a manufacturer is a great comfort. Shimano 7 Speed Gear Shift System, and 350W motor this power is what I need. Tremendous value compared to what you get at a dealer.I am very pleased with the quality and performance of this electric bike. I find that the twist grip throtle works better for me than the peddle assist low, medium and high settings. It is not necessary to change out of high gear to climb most hills while peddling with the throttle also providing power. The shocks work well on dirt paths and the seat is comfortable. This bike goes maximum speed up to 19 mph on flat ground. I have been able to go about 24 miles using combined power and peddling before running out of battery.Put this bike in with the few I am considering, also the locking and removable battery is something that is also a very important selling point, It has a locking mechanism and requires a key to detach it from the bike. In fact it is rechargeable away from the bike even better. I will definitely be riding this to work as often as the weather permits. It cut my commute time in half without a break of sweat.I will look to buy from them in the future along with recommending to all my friends.
