Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful Kindle Edition

I love the Bobbi Brown books.. This one is a book I read once, but continue to go back to it as a constant reference. I have been using her technique from way back to her first book. I like her approach in this book to include a lot of makeup looks that each person can relate to. Once you identify a certain look, albeit classic or sporty for example, she shows you a very achievable makeup technique, best colors for you to wear daytime looks and segue into a nighttime look! I feel like I can pick a type, then follow it, master the how to. Makeup becomes simple and when following this your are pretty.l. I like her books because I can become pretty quickly.

Fun book with lots of possible. I really liked all the different people she used for examples. Not a bunch of super models but real people

This is an awesome book! So many beautiful pictures and inspiring stories of women, along with helpful and simple makeup application instructions. I definitely recommend this book.

I love Bobbi Brown. I love her products. I have enjoyed her other books. I had high expectations for Pretty Powerful. But I was very disappointed. It is just a rehash of all her other books. There isn't much new in it. Maybe I just didn't get it, but I think the book is very bland and certainly wasn't what I expected.

Love this book. I am using it to learn color analysis and it makes a great tool for practicing on different skin tones and hair colors.

Okay book, bit less specific than maybe it could be, but then maybe being general makes it more applicable to wider audience. Nice writing style and glad I bought it but doubt I will use it a lot. Does cover basics well.

Disappointed. It didn't really show you how to apply makeup and best colors for skin tones.

Is there anything more bada** than reading about 'Pretty Powerful' Women?! Loved getting an insight into the women's lives and learning more about their routine. Bobbi has a way of making each and every woman relatable while making sure that we learn something new on each page. Such a smart book. Love it.

I really enjoyed this book which I downloaded as a Kindle version to my laptop (this is definitely one to read on a full colour device because of all the amazing photos). However the formatting was off so that the photos of one person were placed with the text relating to the previous person featured. Really annoying when you are trying to understand the look they have put together.

My mother bought me the 'teenage beauty' book years ago which I was instantly hooked on. That book made me want to buy a more up to date Bobbi Brown book since I am no longer a teenager. This book certainly did not disappoint! The title of the book 'Pretty Powerful' completely defines the content of the book. I love how Bobbi Brown focuses on highlighting your own natural beauty instead of hiding it with layers upon layers of make up. This book applies to all nationalities, backgrounds and ages. I really love all the inspirational quotes and the different women (celeb and non celeb) telling their beauty secrets and their power stories. A very wise purchase.

I bought this book for my daughter. She loves make-up and is interested in correct techniques to apply it successfully. She loves this book and is busy reading it and practising!!
