Metra 95-8157B Double DIN Installation Kit for 1992-2000 Lexus SC300 and SC400 (Black)

Fits great inside my 92’ SC400. The only thing is that the plastic mounts feel fragile. Other than that everything bolts right up. I have it paired to a Pioneer DMH-W2770NEX

Looks factory fresh. Second time buying one of these for a different SC I now own, and although they are flimsy and relatively weak for a double din, they do their job. I did modify the original factory brackets(Search Web) and now it is super strong. Really looks superb. I will add an image.

Driving a 92 Lexus SC 400. It looks pretty clean, it's definitely good for the price. I still wish they would come up with some stronger metal designs as if someone wanted to steal my system, this plastic stuff would snap in an instant and my $400 head unit would be gone with the wind. Now if it was metal brackets like the original stereo they wouldn't even budge the stereo, and I say this because if they offered a premium metal bracket variant I would buy it. Even if it was $30-$40...Anyway I got this paired with a Pioneer X5500BHS and looks great in my car. Install was fairly simple. Only taking a star away for cheap plastics. It was expected, and should be expected, but after years upon years of car audio you think they'd come up with something stronger, something a bit longer lasting then this cheap plastic which probably cost the company about 30 cents to create the whole package.

It's pretty bad. Cuts off all the time. Customer service is terrible and wouldn't address the issue directly. Wouldn't buy from them again

This unit fit perfectly in my sc300. There is a slight gap about 4 millimeters or so at the bottum. But other than that everything lines up perfect and I am loving my new in dash dvd thanks to this little kit.

If you're looking at this, then it means you're going to buy it. It's a little flimsy but it's the only one on the market. There are no other Double DIN kits that will work for the Lexus SC's. Don't even try looking for other kits, you'll just waste your time.

Bought this for my Lexus sc300. If you go on the clublexus forum you can find how to modify this so it's sturdier. This product is cheaply made. I would pay double if it were sturdier. I read online that people had to modify this otherwise their stereo would move around when they hit bumps, etc. I didn't wanna take the chance so I went ahead and modified it as well. It works great now, but again I would pay way more for it if I didn't have to spend time modifying it.

I'd like to start with there are tutorials on forums on how to reinforce the frame to ensure that it doesn't break. That being said, I did not bother doing so, installed as is and is working in my vehicle as advertised. 2 mo update since purchase, no issues what so ever...

Unfortunately they forget to mention that this bracket is for left hand drive only. It would be great if they had a right hand drive option
