I have to say this a very useful addition to our home and it has really shown its merit now we are heading into the colder month's, which can only mean central heating, low humidity and stuffy noses.The PureMate really does provide a much more comfortable environment to relax or sleep and this is of course adjustable to your own requirements.We have it set to 50% humidity and the device will automatically switch on and off to maintain this, using the mist output you selected. No matter what humidity you set, it will automatically switch on and off to maintain this, rather than run constantly. This was a little confusing at first as selecting a lower humidity than that already present in the room would have the device switch off but this now makes sense as it will also automatically switch on when humidity drops below the level you have selected. The display alternates between the room temperature and humidity %, even when in standby, which is useful.If you wish for it to run constantly, select the Auto fan speed by constantly pressing the Mist button until Auto illuminates on the display. When in Auto mode, the device runs constantly to maintain a preset humidity of 60-65%, which can't be adjusted, and it will automatically vary the amount of mist to achieve this.A long press of the On/Off button will switch to sleep mode and dim both the display and the illuminated water level at the side.The build quality is great and it looks three times more expensive than it is plus doesn't take up much room, so it can be placed on a bedroom window sill.Hope the above helps.

I've had this for a few months now and it works perfectly. There were some negative reviews I saw so I'd like to tell you my experience. The display alternates between the humidity and temperature every 10 or so seconds. What you would want. There's no leaking. When you take the top tank off to refill there is water in the bottom unit. If you knock it some may spill but not huge amounts - just don't knock it. That's it. It works great for a living room size and bedroom.

When we first got this was so very impressed with how easy it is to use and how effective it was. Really did seem to help our little girl at night. However the issue is cleaning, for the most part it’s really simple, however there is one little area where black mould builds up and you have to be so careful cleaning it or you’ll end up water logging the electronics! Fortunately a period of inactivity dried it out and it still works well

Survived about 18 months & used most nights. It was very good whilst it was working but water has started to seep into the electricals. Has an effective safety mechanism as it just turns off now.

These days, Winter, the air in the house is so dry with the heating on. This really helps with my problem of dry sinuses, You can improve the air so easily, and it has an auto setting which takes a little while to reach, but it's satisfying to see the mist coming out of the nozzle. Auto shut off when it is empty, and won't start when empty either.there is little remote which although it has the same buttons that are on the machine itself only the on/off button works with me.The only problem is refilling. You have to take the top off, easy enough as there is a little handle. Easy to fill, and then carry it back to the machine. To put it back on the container needs to be turned upside down to fill so needs to be right way up again to return it to the base, can be awkward when it is full as it is quite heavy. I'm not being fussy, I am disabled and I do struggle getting it back onto the base when full, would be so much easier if it was a top filling device

Perfect gadget for a grow room to maintain RH , simple operation and easy to clean. No leaks, spills or anything and has a great steady flow, Worth every penny for sure.

i bought this humidifier in January, and it stopped working, initially it worked OK, but then all of sudden it stopped working.

Very pleased with this product does everything I expected of it. You can control the level of humidity or time in use - I set it for 2 or 3 hours on level 2 just before going to bed and I sleep, something not able to do before as nose blocked and breathing difficult lying down. Moisturises the air to comfort level - can be pre-set to what works for you. Only problem ( minor ) is the water tank is quite heavy to lift with arthritic hands so I fill mine 2/3rds full ( the tank lifts off the base for refill - not top fill ) but that said I give it full marks for improving my night-time comfort.
