If you need to add a 2nd PoE device to an existing PoE run outside, this is the way to go
PROs:* only device I know of that allows you to attach 2 or 3 POE devices at the end of a single CAT5e/6 run, especially when you're looking for something that is ready to mount outside. When that's what you need, this is, the way to go.* large enough that you can fit a surge suppressor in thereCONs:* the box is rather large* 30W PoE budget for 3 devices is not a lot - I only manage to attach 2 devices per switch for that reason. Apparently there is also a 24W model out there, steer clear!* the mounting keyholes are ridiculously small - require a #3 screw. I ended up drilling 3 holes in the case under the switch* no management - but a management processor would take away from the PoE passthrough power so this is an excellent trade-off* only supports 24V passive PoE - presumption: active PoE would require management - see aboveWhile the box is large-ish, it doesn't look ridiculous on the side of a house. And if you need to add a camera or WiFi AP to an existing run, this does the job very nicely.

Looks good, works great
I took a chance on a used N-SW, not sure what to expect. The unit I received looks brand new and works perfectly. Quality service and product... THANKS!

Great 24V passive POE switch to extend multiple devices
Very handy device if you need additional 24V passive POE to power multiple devices. It will not work for 48V POE devices so verify 1st before buying. I do have 2 AP pro with unused 48V POE injectors so I'll be connecting one of them to this to power up the G3 flex. I think the form factor could be a bit smaller especially length wise. Not sure if I'll call it nano but it's small enough to be unobtrusive.

Ridiculously functions with only one (ubiquity) power supply and won't power other devices.
Bought this looking to supply power with 802.3af/at poe injector only to find that this device can ONLY be powered using ONE of Ubiquiti's POE injectors (POE-24-30W-G-WH). So I buy a couple of them only to find that when hanging a poe device that needs a mere 12v at < 5.5w. What a waste of TIME AND MONEY!!!ONLY BUY THIS IF YOU'RE PLANNING TO HANG DEVICES THAT CONSUME THE VERY LIMITED POWER IT SUPPLIES.

Works great as an outdoor switch but not as robust as the rest of the UBNT line
This is very important. This is a PoE switch, yes, but it is a 24v PoE switch. So you will either need a 24v PoE injector, or a switch down the line that provides that, which isn't common. DO NOT try to run it off a 48v source. I want to point this out because I had to do a ton of research to make sure I had everything right before I purchased it.That said, the switch works great. It's been through some nasty weather in Georgia in the past few months I've had it installed outside, and it's held up to everything. From 10* weather to days of heavy rain, and some really high temps, it's still kicking without a single blip.My main complaint is 2 things. The 2 screw holes suck. There is a customer photo where they drilled a hole through the base to help steady it, definitely consider doing that. And what it'll probably do your warranty. The other complaint is it is unmanaged. I wish I would have noticed that beforehand, but I don't know that would have affected my purchase. And honestly for most users, this probably won't matter. But with this being on the only Ubiquti device on my network that I can't manage, my OCD is annoyed by that. With all that, I'm happy with this for now. But I will probably upgrade it with one of their other outdoor switches down the line. And since I had to drill an extra hole in it so it didn't flop around with it's included screws, I probably won't be able to resell it lol.

As Advertised
I installed mine in the attic running two G3 Bullet Cameras and one Mesh AP. The NanoSwitch is connected to my 24 Port 250 watt switch via ethernet and then I branch off from the switch to my two cameras and AP. Does exactly as advertised and should hold up well in the attic. It is not a managed controller so will not show up in the Unifi interface but its only 40$! Overall love the product and works exactly as advertised.

Great little switch for 24volt devices
Fantastic product for splitting 24volt PoE. We used for a roof install with a nanobeam and two G3 cameras. Things to note, this is not a managed switch so everything needs to live on the same VLAN. Second for everyone in the reviews complaining this doesn't support ‘standand poe’ this product never claims too. It clearly says for 24volt and if that fits the need it’s perfect.

Worked as advertised
Product works great. Had a little trouble getting the cover properly closed once the cables were in place but perseverance paid off. Also the screw for mounting on a metal pole wouldn’t screw in properly but I had a self tapping metal screws that worked instead. PoE worked perfectly.

Ne fonctionne pas pour du POE en 36 Volts !
Il aurait été bien d'ajouter dans la description que ce Switch fonctionne jusque 24volts.Du coup, je l'ai dans l'os pour mon UAP AC PRO en 36 volts !

What can I say! Amazing!
Seriously this product made my family so happy. I have it outside (I live in Ontario, Canada, so it's cold here!) rain/snow or shine it delivers internet to the backyard without a glitch. The biggest issue was entertaining in the summer time with guests and the bluetooth speakers playing. Now everything just works as expected!I can even go to the street behind my house (backyard neighbours) and get internet on their street in my car! This things has long range on it! Believe me - this thing rocks!
