Can I purchase replacement chips and cards? I have 2 games with the large mat but cards are old and som chips are missing.

Will misisng one peg affect play?

Usually not. My daughter & so-in-law play this frequently and have never used all the pegs. However, look closely at all the buying options. You can most likely get a complete set for very little more than a set with missing pieces.
