Short and sweet
In many cases, the Y connection doesn't need more wire, so short is all you need. When you need longer Y connector, it is better to separately choose extensions from a pack of multiple lengths to add just what you need. I bought a pack of just such an extension lengths in the same order and the two products are a great compliment.
