Winged bean is also known as asparagus pea, goa bean, four angled bean, manila bean, princess bean, and dragon bean. Almost every part of this tropical plant is edible: the beans (used as a vegetable), the leaves (cooked like spinach), the roots (similar to potato), and the dried seeds (used for flour). High in protein and rich in vitamins A, C, calcium and iron.

I can't find this seeds in the store so I ordered this Winged Goa seed online last spring. I was very excited to finally have a plant/vegetable that I grew up eating as a child. I started it in a pot and transferred the seedling on the ground close to my trellis. I took very good care of it and was very disappointed when the vegetable/fruit came out. It was not a wing bean as advertised in the packet. It was a regular long string bean. Will never order from this vendor again.

Inged Beans
The directions was good, give explicit instructions. I followed them and the beans sprouted. They are now planted on the ground. Some beans are stubborn and nedds repated soaking before they respond.I am happy with the result.
