This review is for the 10" Queen version of the ZInus Ultimate Comfort mattress.I chose this particular model for several reasons. First, it is manufactured by Zinus. Now, Zinus does not have the name recognition of Tempur-Pedic, nor the same high-end reputation, or prices. Various Amazon sellers sell at on of assorted Zinus mattresses under a bunch of names, and they mostly get very good reviews. This model, a 10" Queen featuring 3 inches of memorey foam over "2 inches Pressure Relieving Comfort Foam," on top of 5 inches of higher-density base foam, appears to be identical to other brands that receive 4+ star ratings over numerous sales here. Add to this the fact that this particular listing was both shipped by and sold by Amazon, and I felt I couldn't go wrong. And, of course, my innerspring mattress was 15 years old and needed to replaced.I received the mattress only today, and have only slept on it for a few hours, and will update this after a few weeks and maybe later. Prime 2-day shipping didn't fail me, and the 65 lb box was dropped right next to my house by FedEx. I handled the box fine myself but it was a little bigger than expected and without any handles, and a lot of people will definitely need help to move it up any stairs, if not move it all. Neatly packed, nothing extra, no cushioning needed.Some reviews of memory foam mattresses led me to believe they can take 24-48 hours to fully expand from their compressed shipping state. Others caution you to have the mattress at least near where you will ultimately sleep on it before you unwrap it. The second bit of advice is definitely worth mentioning; mine expanded and unfolded rapidly, reaching near-full dimensions in seconds. After wrestling it of the floor (I should have opened the plastic with it on the platform), I measured its height at 9 inches. Two hours later I found it a full 10 inches high. It is also a full 60 x 80, unlike many mattresses on Amazon that are undersized at 58 x 78 inches. That is a big deal to me - I want all of the 80 inch length a proper queen mattress provides, and filling out standard sheets without them being loose or baggy is a must.I have not had a full night's sleep as of this review, but I did take a quick nap, which turned into a very long nap. It is comfortable. This mattress cradles me enough, yet is still firm enough to be supportive. Time will tell, but my initial impressions of this mattress are that it will be great to sleep on, and that it is a real bargain.Update after 3.5 years: I love this mattress! I had concerns about the durability of a $230 mattress, but it is still perfectly comfortable and is holding up well. It is certainly on the firmer side, which was what I had hoped for, though it is soft enough to cushion my 190+ pound self very well. I've noticed none of the problems some reviewers mention: it doesn't "sleep hot," there was no off-gassing or strong smell, and the cover is just fine.I have no regrets about buying this mattress. When considering how much money I saved on it, it's easy to think maybe I should go ahead and replace it since it's been more than worth the price and is a few years old now. But it still shows little wear and looks like it should be fine for several more years. Note that sheets made for taller mattresses are commonly available these days, and sheets designed for a 14" mattress will fit loosely, but that's not this mattress's fault - it's solid (enough).

I'm writing this in regards to the mattress not just for a regular bed, but a sofa sleeper, as there were hardly any reviews for this set up.At the beginning I was hesitant to go with a 6 inch foam mattress for my sleeper sofa, but I'm glad I did for several reasons (one was a surprise bonus).I saw the recommended 5 inch which was almost $100 more than this one was and I thought this was simply because 5 inch is the typical sofa sleeper size, it's not a better mattress per say. I also thought, hey, this is foam, it compresses, it should fit anyways. I'm glad that I went with the 6 inch. Here's why:1: Less expensive than the 5 inch one recommended. Saved some money, that's always good. 👍2: Base foam is 4 inch instead of 3.5 which makes it a tad firmer, but enough that you don't feel the bars in the sofa, and I mean you don't feel it AT ALL. I was the most skeptical about these claims, but man alive, I'm a believer now. This alone makes it worth every penny. But the top layers are the memory foam and cooling memory foam which helps in the summer months and isn't too bad in the winter. Regardless, it's very comfortable and gives you a tad more memory foam.3: Here's the surprise bonus. You know how the basic mattress sofa sleepers come with give you no support when you sleep, and that transfers to the folded up couch as well? Ours was actually compressing so much in couch mode that it was like sitting in a hole where the cushions for the couch sink in so you felt the wood like a bar under your leg in the front, and were in a small pit to get out. Once we got the new mattress it bulges a bit since its a tad too big which makes the couch extra fluffy. It's now supporting the cushions like it should, and instantly became a comfortable couch. Not sitting in a hole is nice, go figure.Here's my thoughts on a few things that are important to know:1: Yes the cushion does take a full 24 to 48 hours to reach the full 6 inches (closer to 48 hours). After about 24 hours though it's comfortable enough to sleep on and was at about 5 inches expanded. Had to test this out with a guest immediately as the mattress arrived a little over a day before he arrived. The guest loved it by the way, and said it was extremely comfortable after sleeping on it for 5 days.2: Getting the 6 inch is 1 inch too big for most sleeper sofas. When you fold it up the first fold is a little tight, but again, it's foam so it WILL fold. Just takes a tad more pushing to get it into that first "lock" position where the leg bar pushed down. After that, the second part that fills into the sofa is a breeze just like always.3: Since it's bigger, that means you get a tad bit of bulging in sofa mode. My experience with owning 2 sofa sleepers is, that ends up being a more comfortable sofa (especially for this one) as well as a more comfortable bed.Bottom line is, I'm extremely happy with this and am now even thinking about upgrading our regular bed to this kind of mattress. But it made both the bed and the sofa better and that's simply astounding for a really cheap sofa sleeper.

I have slept on many mattresses in my life, spring and memory foam. I spent nearly a month looking at memory foam mattresses as they are not all the same. What I liked about this one is it had 3 inches of memory foam and multi layers of comfort and support foam. When I looked at other similar priced ones they only had 2 inches of memory foam, so this grabbed me right away at 3 inches. I would say that this is much nicer to sleep on than an Endy or Casper, considering the price point you can't go wrong. I'm not a light weight person, so getting the 10 inch he mattress was perfect and supports me easily. I look forward to going to bed now that I have a mattress that is so comfortable! When I opened the bag the bed inflated very quickly, all of the mattress was level and flat with no dips or bends at the sides and no gross smell like you get with a lot of these kinds of mattresses. It also allows my dog to jump on and off the bed at night to not wake me. The best thing is it doesn't sleep hot, so if you get warm during the night this mattress is not going to make you warmer. The cover on the mattress is plush and in the box you get a thank you card from the company, you also get some none marked cards to give people for birthdays or holiday occasions which is a nice touch. I really believe this mattress was far beyond my expectations and anyone doing their research can stop here, believe me I did plenty before getting this one. The only down side is its shipped by Purolator so do not expect it to be getting there on time, I had quite the argument with them when they said they misplaced a mattress..... A mattress. The manager soon made sure it was found and put on the next truck but if I hadn't caused quite the stink I'd probably still be waiting.

Excelente colchón, es muy confortable descansar en el, llego en optimas condiciones y sin ningun detalle, excepto la caja en la cual se trasportaba que estaba algo maltratada y desgastada de las esquinas, pero el producto llego intacto, en un periodo de 12 hrs el colhon alcanzo la altura correcta, en comparación con otros colchones de Memory Form, no les encuentro diferencia.

La calidad del colchón es muy buena, la comodidad también está muy bien. Mucho mejor que el colchón tradicional. Se descansa mejor y se duerme más plácidamente.Te dicen que esperes horas para poderlo utilizar, pero si llaman a la competencia e investigan, vean que al dejarlo expandirse por un rato ya se puede utilizar, aunque la máxima comodidad se logra en el tiempo estipulado.El olor que tiene de fábrica se va conforme pasa el tiempo, por lo que no hay que preocuparse.Una gran inversión si toman en cuenta la garantía de 10 años. Igual que la competencia ya un menor precio.

Amigos y amigas,Juntos de nuevo. Cuando te dicen que no escatimes en un colchón no podría estar más de acuerdo, a fin de cuentas vas a pasar un tercio de tu vida ahí, y quién sabe, con suerte quizá más....guiño guiño. Después de todo, despues de dormir, en un colchón puedes hacer una de laws mejores cosas en la vida, es decir...comer en la cama.Si ustedes, como yo, habían estado presos de los colchones de resorte porque pensaban que no podián costear un colchón de memory foam, permítanme comentarles que estabamos en un error. Un error enorme pero en serio.El precio de este colchón parece ser demasiado bueno como para ser cierto, y nosotros como mexicanos estamos programados para desconfiar de ello. Pero *spoiler alert* es cierto! Este colchón es una jo-yi-ta, por este precio muy a duras penas podríamos comprar un colchón de resortes de una merca medio conocida que simplemente no nos encantaría y sólo compraríamos porque "es buen precio, total".Pues no, con el colchón Zinus obenemos TO-DO, priemero que nada, ustedes recibirán en casita este colchón en una caja bastante compacta y no muy pesada. Acto seguido, por favor lean las muy sencillas instrucciones en español o inglés (por si le están pegando duro al Harmon Hall) en donde se les indicará claramente que deben sacarl el colchónj de la caja, que en ese punto parecerá un delicioso burrito de memory foam, después deben rasgar con las manos el plástico para que el colchón se extienda, después deben quitar el plástico protector y como por arte de magia el colchón comenzará a "inflarse" por si sólo.Las instrucciones dicne que debe dejarse reposar por entre 24 y 48 hrs para que el colchón obtenga su tamaño debido, sin embargo, en mi caso el tiempo en que esto se logró fue ridiculamente corto, en menos de una hora el Zinus se había extendido en su totalida de altura y estaba esponjoso y bonito.Otra cosa a recalcar, es que en las indicaciones se coemtna sobre la posibilidad de que tu colchón tenga un olor "extraño" debido al material con el que esta fabricado, que esto es totalmente normal y en breve se le quitará. pero, en mic aso este olor simplemente no existía. Al abrir el colchón se sentía fresco, esponjoso y no tenía nungún olor.El colchón en cuestión viene ya con una funda, la cual se peude quitar en cualquier momento gracias a su zipper y ser lavada si es deseado, auqneu esta funda no es impermeable, por lo que si queiren esta caracterisitca deben comprar una funda. Aunque los colchones tradicionales no vienen con funda y este sí, por lo que es una gran ventajaAsí llegamos a la pregunta obligada: es comodo? Pero increiblemente comodo!!!!La capa superior de memory foam se almoda perfectamente a tu peso y fugura, si duermes boca arriba te "sumergiras" sólo lo necesario para estar como y no tneer presión en tu espalda, si duermes de lado la presión en tus hombros y cadera simplemente desaparecerá como magia.El colchón se amolda a tu cuerpo, no sientes presión, no sientes tu peso, pero no te hundes, el soporte es perfecto. Pensar en volver a un colchón de resortes será obsceno. El futuro es hoy, viejo!Si han llegado hasta este punto de mi review y no han comprado este colchón, hermanos, no sé qué esperan. En cualqueir otro lugar deberían pagar al menos el doble por este colchón, su manufactura es top, su embalaje es top, es precioso, quizá lloren de felicidad en su primer noche juntos, es razonable.En cuanto a la logistica de mis amigos de Amazon, precisa, perfecta como siempre. Compré este colchón un viernes a las 23:00 hrs y el domingo a las 9:00 estaba en mi domicilio, gracias a las bondades de Amazon Prime, increible!Nota: Esta reseña no está pagada por Zinus o Amazon....pero debería!!!!!!

Oct 2020:Very comfy mattress. Love it so far other than it not being super supportive (because it is memory foam) and the smell of it when it first arrived irritated my throat and gave me a stuffy nose which made for a bad sleep.*******UPDATE: I recommend letting the mattress air out for a day or so once it is opened. Zinus also recommends this as well. I have slept on this mattress for almost a week now and it has been great! It is comfortable. It just takes awhile to get used too if you have never slept on a memory foam mattress before. I definitely should have waited a few more days before writing my first review. Good mattress for the price it is.Once again, I will update this review if anything changes.** UPDATE OCTOBER 2023!! This mattress is finally starting to hang it’s hat. Recently started hurting my back, but it did it’s duties for the time being. Now i fear it may be time to move on..Sweet dreams, Jeff Bezos.
