Ultimate Drum Play-Along (Ultimate Play-Along)

I have read the other comments prior to mine about the hihat click. Yes, there is a loud hihat click. This clicking acts as a metronome to help you keep your beat. This is a useful tool to help people learn keep their beat thoughout new songs. I rather enjoyed using this book with the play along Cds. Besides, if the clicking annoys you soo bad, just plug in a Pink Floyd album and play along with that. I recommend this. Hope this helps you! =)

Top Ten Favorite Things about the Ultimate Drum Play Along Series*****1) Built in hihat, just add kick and snare, very handy if you have an itch!2) You don't have to wait for a set break to drink a beer!3) You won't ever worry about if you are playing in front or behind the click as it is by far the loudest thing on the CD.4) If you are suffering from 20-30dB high frequency hearing loss you can still hear the click!5) If the tweeters are blown on your speakers/headphones you can still hear the click!6) We now know that the death of Gene Frenkle was staged (the "more cowbell" guy). He is alive and well and has purchased a hihat and claves (which are alternatively found on some tracks). His name is mysteriously missing from the credits on this product.7) The click prevents you from accidentally falling asleep while playing.8) It may help fill the void in your soul from listening to some of those 80's pop songs that had very little hihat in them.9) If your headphones fall off while you are playing you can still hear the click (yes I tried this).10) Headache relief is only a quick press of the pause or stop button away.*****In all seriousness, the crazy loud click was a problem since the beginning of the series and it has only gotten worse. It appears others have contacted the publisher and no changes have been made to newer products. Until I see a label on the packaging saying "new and improved - quieter click", or "no click" my money will go elsewhere.

Forget about the comments criticizing the CD. I didn't even plan to use the play along CD. I am a drummer for a Los Angeles Pink Floyd cover band. I wish someone had written a review indicating that the transcription of Have A Cigar isn't even close to being correct. I usually write out the songs I cover myself, exact and note for note, but it can take hours to get it correct.For $16 I figured it was worth my money to save the time. I only bought this book for Have A Cigar which is so wrong I had to transcribe the entire song myself from scratch.Do not buy this book. I am not going to waste my time looking at the other songs. Have A Cigar is so wrong that I am just assuming they are also wrong.

Click track on everything non stop. Makes it useless to enjoy playing to. I think drummers buying this type of product just want backing music to play along to, not to try and learn how to keep rhythm to. I will have to contact publisher for replacement or will unfortunately have to return.

It would have been great except for annoying Hihat click through all tracks, making it useless. Will be returning this as it did not state in the description that it had a click track.
