I looked at many different Turkish towels before ordering this WETCAT towel. We have a pool in our backyard, and I wanted a lightweight towel to sit on in an Adirondack chair that would have 3 qualities: quick drying, absorbent, and soft. Many of the reviews I read of other towels indicated that the towel had two of my three qualities, but failed on the third. I'm happy to say that this towel meets all 3 of my requirements.Know, though, before you buy this product, that a Turkish towel is different from a traditional terrycloth or terry-velour beach towel. It's thin woven cotton. This towel is thicker than a bedsheet or a button-down shirt, but thinner than denim/chambray.Despite being thin, this towel is fairly absorbent. Is it as absorbent as a 20 year old towel that's been laundered hundreds of times? No. But it is far more effective at removing water droplets from your skin than many cheap beach towels I've bought over the years. The cotton is soft, and it's comfortable to sit on if you are not looking for something plushy. For instance, if you normally fold your terrycloth beach towel and sit on it in a beach chair as though it's a cushion, this is not the towel for you. If, like me, you primarily throw a towel on your chair to keep your sweaty skin from sticking to the chair, then this towel works well.Finally, this towel dries MUCH quicker than a terrycloth beach towel. I spend a lot of time reading by the pool, hopping in and out to cool off. After a few dips in the pool, a standard beach towel is usually completely soaked. This towel dries quickly enough that I can sit on one end while the other end hangs over the back of my chair and dries. By the time I'm ready to hop back in the pool and cool off, I can turn the towel around and it will be mostly dry. Water tends to flow through the towel and collect in the little tassels on the ends, leaving the fabric ready to wick the pool water away from my skin again.Bonus: this towel is pretty big! It's smaller than a "bath sheet" sized beach towel, but bigger than many "large sized" beach towels you'd find at a department store. I also read reviews of other Turkish towels that needed to be washed before the first use or that bled dye onto people's clothes or beach bags. I used this one right out of the package, and it was fine. It also drapes nicely, and is easy to use as a wrap or cover-up.All in all, I'm pretty happy with this purchase, and I will probably buy another one.

Big enough for anyone! I am small so I don’t need a big towel, but my boyfriend is big and this is the perfect size for him. And for me, who doesn’t like an oversized towel to keep them warm? 🙂 even though it is large in size, it is so lightweight and yet very absorbent. Soft to the touch, although I’ve only washed them once. So far, love these towels!

Decided to try Turkish towels for a beach vacation. Ordered three different towels from three different brand/sellers, so that I could identify a brand/seller who sells authentic cotton towels of quality. Cotton has become a very important issue for me when shopping; I cannot stand polyester whether 100% or any percent.Two of the towels were 100% cotton and good quality. (You must place the towel in a mesh laundry bag to wash in a washer, or the tassels get damaged). This towel was one and I’m very pleased with its absorbency, minimal weight even when wet, quick drying, and the considerably less bulk. Now I use it in place of regular bath towels, since it stays wrapped around my hair despite its size. If these things are important to you, then give this one a try.—-Superfluous info below.I live in a hot climate and we need clothes, linen, and upholstery that BREATHE. Polyester does not breathe, no matter what a maker/seller says. It’s plastic, which cannot breathe. I discovered the importance of fabric breathing one summer when I wore a very lightweight, extremely loose-fitting, three quarter sleeve blouse to church. By the time I got to the church door that morning, I was already sweating and uncomfortably hot. The air-conditioning inside didn't help cool me down at all, and I had to leave the service for the restroom to splash my face w/cold water, because I kept getting hotter. Even that didn't help. I thought I was going to faint and/or vomit. Finally I went to a stall and took the polyester nightmare off. Immediately began cooling down. Encountered a lady in the restroom who told me it was the polyester top causing the problem and why. I’d never even thought to learn what Polyester is made from, plastic.I never want to overheat during a Texas summer again. But good luck finding clothing or anything fabric anymore that isn't polyester; It’s slim pickings. But it’s a sticking point for me.

I have read praise for Turkish beach towels for years and finally decided to try one. I love the texture and look of it. It folds up nice and small for transport. It’s great for wearing as a cover up. However, it’s not especially functional for actually drying off. If I use it to dry off directly out of the pool, it will be soaked and I will still be pretty wet all over. It does not dry fast. I end up bringing a separate terry cloth towel to the pool for drying off, and using this more as a coverup.

This towel is made of the softest material and Arrived with no chemical smell. This towel can go in the washer AND the dryer, Unlike some of the other towels, I looked at online, which makes it so easy to use and care for. It came out of the dryer, beautiful and lint free. I love how versatile it is, One minute it’s a towel and the next minute it is a lightweight shawl to keep you warm on a cool night. Since the product is so thin, you can fit it in a small bag or purse and take it anywhere you need to go.

I bought 2 of these for a week long trip to Florida. I flew there with just a carry on and a backpack and these towels were such a space saver. They worked great at the beach and at the pool and dried quickly when left out in the sun. I bought these instead of the sand cloud and I think they compare really well. They did not pick up sand from the beach, I even laid one directly on the sand. They are also soft and absorbent like the sand cloud claims. I think if you are wanting all the perks of the sand cloud without the hefty price tag, this is a must buy!

Esta toalla es todo lo que menciona su descripción: pre-lavada, suave, ligera, compacta al doblarla y de secado rápido. Llegó antes de la fecha prevista por Amazon y de verdad, estoy encantada con la toalla. Sí se le pega la arena, si ésta está mojada...son leyes de física, no magia jajaja Pero la arena seca sí se quita muy fácilmente. Compré 4 colores distintos y ¡todos son hermosos! De verdad que dan ganas de ir a la playa solamente para usarlas jejejeje

The material is really soft and absorbent. I had bought a Turkish towel previously that is nice but not the quality this has. I totally recommend.

No es la toalla más absorbente pero después de entender que el secado es por palmadas y toques con la tela varias veces; pues cumple su función. No la recomiendo para el cabello. No las volvería a comprar.

The colours are exactly as shown (denim blue and light grey) and the fringe didnt tangle in the wash. They are super soft and a nice, tight weave. No weak spots...
