Great watch!
so my baseline everyday watch is the Garmin instinct original. But I need you to watch without Bluetooth and heart rate sensors. So I bought two watches a Casio and a Timex expedition. I'll leave both reviews here.I am not a fan of large faced watches the Timex has a substantially larger face and bezel on it but after wearing it a couple days it's not that bad it's not heavy can get caught on sleeves.Although it didn't come with a manual the buttons are very intuitive they're easy to figure out it has a few features that are nice and some are that are not needed what's really cool about it is If you don't need an special alarms you can remove that from the display or add it back that was pretty nice.ProsLightweight, nice big display, subtle night light display, you can select between vibration or audible alerts. So far the band retainer is holding in place. You can set three alarms and a timer.ConsFor your alarm clock it vibrates initially then vibration will stop in an audible alarm will pick up I wish it would vibrate and have an alarm at the same time. This is for the timer also.Any button will stop the alarm that you set, so you could accidentally bump it while sleeping and miss it.For me personally timex is the better watchThe Casio. 3446The watch feels really good it looks good it's smaller face didn't catch on clothing or feel bulky.I thought it was nice that it came with a manual. Until I realized why the watch ⌚ operation is not intuitive like a genuinely took me a minute to figure it out how to get through all the layers and then I had to open up the book and figure it out whereas my Garmin instinct and the Timex was very easy to figure out. It only has one alarm on it you can do two time zones the light button is placed very nicely in the front and it's a very subtle LED lighted background.I'm sure if you're a fan of Casio this watch would meet your needs for a basic wrist watch for me it did not meet that standard and this will be returned.

Great, Big, Strong, Watch!
Wearing mine right now. As a matter of fact, only take it off if I have to. This watch keeps excellent time and is perfect for me. Yes it's big, but my eyes are not what they used to be. I would always use Casio watches, but I have found myself really having a hard time seeing the time. I started relying on my phone more and more, until now. This watch was very easy to set up compared to my Casio, and I have no problem seeing the time, day or night. This is a rugged watch as well. I am an out door kind of person and always getting myself into situations I shouldn't. This watch has taken all I have dished out and never missed a beat. It's big, but looks great! Easy to see, day, or night! Easy set up, and perfect for the outdoorsman. The only thing that I don't care for to much is the band. Not bad, but not great. I think I will be swapping it out for a Para cord wrist band. Just have to figure out where to get one for this watch. Anyway, all in all, a great watch and I highly recommend getting one if you have a hard time seeing close.

UPDATE: Great watch;high quality even after three years
Update after three years: This watch is still going great. I use the countdown timer for my town workouts, I use the stopwatch for my kids, I swim with it in the summer, and I use the light on it in the mornings for an easy glance to check the time—and three years in the original battery is great. I know that if anything ever happens to this watch I’m buying the same thing again. No more Omega Seamaater and no more Citizen watches (two have failed me). Simple, functional, dependable and strong.•••••••••••••••••••••••¥•¥¥¥¥¥¥I LOVE THIS WATCH!!! I bought it to replace a popular 100m iron man watch that let in water while swimming at my local pool so I shopped for a 200m watch. For me the Casio's are way too busy--I was attracted to the big easy to read open face on this watch. It is so easy to read the time, especially in sunshine. It has spent a summer in the pool w me and there has been no problem. Unexpected bonus: the band is great. I have worn it every day for seven months and there is ZERO crease in the band--it is very high quality. I have a large wrist and I wear it in the third hole as a FYI. I use the timer function all the time for different activities w my kids--very easy to reset and use. One last point--the light is very bright. I have had two Casio G-shocks but I will stick w this from here on in. One draw back--it is a bit thick for formal wear with cuffs and suits--I will wear my citizen analog then. Still, an easy 5 stars.

Updated after a year. Still a good watch.
I've worn Timex watches for years because of their decent price and durability. The last watch I had was the T49612 and I really liked that watch. This watch was a little cheaper and had the vibrating alarm function that wouldn't disrupt meetings or church. I run a large farming and ranch operation and needed a watch that is easy to read and won't be destroyed from daily work. The faceplate isn't protected as well as other Timex watches I've had and I'm afraid it will get scratched up while working on tractors or working cattle. The band isn't as beefy as the T49612's so I'm skeptical of how long it will hold up. I'm not a huge guy and this watch doesn't seem too bulky or oversized for my wrist. I'll update this review as time passes.Update: Been wearing this watch daily for almost a year now. Only recommendation I have is to make sure it's protected when welding. I have a bunch of burn marks on the face of the watch. The band is still holding up like new. I do wish that the vibration was a little stronger, sometimes I don't feel it if I'm on the tractor or driving through the fields. Still a great watch.
