Great scent. Put it on dryer wool balls and your wash will smell heavenly. Dilute into a spray.
I love this lavender oil so much I have it on auto ship so I will not run out and have to wait on the new bottle to come. Primarily I use this in two ways. I have these big white wooly balls you put in your dryer which helps with wrinkles and partially eliminates need for fabric softener. I missed the fragrance from the softener and when I read somewhere that placing a scented oil on your dryer balls works, I gave it a try. I use a dropper full for each of the four balls, throw my wet clothes in and when I take the laundry out dry, they smell fabulous.. If you leave the laundry in the dryer for a while after the cycle has ended, the fragrance intensifies. Then because my sheets don't smell wonderful enough, I mix some of the lavender oil with water and place in a spray bottle. There is no secret to the proportions, You want enough to smell the lavender but not so much that you are leaving an oily residue. I spray my pillows, my sheets, my undies, my pjs and this layering of lavender really makes the fragrance strong and long lasting. Spray some in your drawers and when you take out your sheets, socks, etc. a slight fragrance results. As you are the one making it and spraying it you can make it to what suits you. I have purchased a lot of the premixed fabric and room sprays and NONE of them are as good as my homemade one using this oil and plain old water out of the faucet!I find the smell of lavender to be relaxing and helps with sleep. As an insomniac anything that helps me to get and stay to sleep is deeply appreciated. That I end up smelling good, too, well that is is an added bonus.I have added this to Epsom salts when bathing and really enjoy it. Just be careful not to add too much or your tub will be sticky and slick, neither of which you want. I suppose if you diluted it you could use it as a perfume. I placed it in some unscented body cream and my sensitive skin was not negatively effective. In short for a very long review I highly recommend this particular lavender oil. Is is excellent.

Had To Know For Myself. Tried 6 Different Brands At Varying Price points.
Update: 09/09/2017 : Just purchased 4 more bottles. Tried two other so called "top brands" brands. The aroma of the other two was just awful. Nothing relaxing or pleasing about them. Done experimenting. We have a winner. We are now into our fourth bottle of this product, whose intense aroma matches, even exceeds, the $20 for 1.5-ounce brands.Update 11-18-2019 . My consumer test is complete. This is the overall lavender champion. After testing dozens of sizes, costs, and brands, this is the best value and quality for heavy lavender users like we are.In a spray bottle, mix 75% lavender oil and 25% distilled water. Shake vigorously while spraying lightly on your bed linens and pillow. Amazingly peaceful and restful sleep will follow. It is now part of our travel kit, especially when we are dealt with a sterile, musty, or stale smelling hotel room. What an amazing odor fix for those quaint beachfront bed & breakfast or turn of the century sea side hotels that smell like dead clams.UPDATE : January 22, 2017If there were six stars, it would be the choice. We have been adding this product to our vaporizers along with a drop or two of Jasmine essential oils and our bedroom and living room are filled with a relaxing, heavenly, peaceful sense. Even our house guests seem to "open up" and talk a little more openly.A change in percentages. For your dog or cat, make that mix 50-50 distilled water and aVo lavender. This product is potent and the oil can create a slight irritation. More water; more toleration.

Best of the bunch
Recently I bought 4 different brands of lavender from amazon to see if I could find a lavender that was of similar quality as one that is made near me. Unfortunately none were of that level of standard but they also did not cost $20 an ounce. The one that smelled the cleanest (no chemical smell) was this one. On a scale of 1-10 for scent it I would rate it a 5-6 vs the pure local lavender we have. The other lavenders were closer to 2-3 and had that extra chemical smell. We use essential oils to make bath bombs and shower melts as well as adding it to goats milk soap base. I still need to test this lavender in our next batch of bath bombs but I will actually try this I’ll out vs the others. BTW, all the others I have either returned or if they couldn’t be returned I only use it for shower melts to avoid any irritation with the skin. I’ll probably still mix in 25% of our local lavender to pump up the scent but at least this one made the cut and it was very skeptical because of the price.

Wonderful Benefits & Value!
I've been using lavender essential oils for years now. It has greatly improved my sleep, reduced stress and I believe even attempted the occasional anxiety attack. As with so many essential oils, there is constant debate on what is the real deal, what is pure, what is so-called therapeutic quality, etc. Many terms are simply for marketing, but what is essential, pardon the pun, is 100% pure oil -- no carrier oils added or something like alcohol to dilute. I've been thoroughly impressed with the aVo brand oil and am on my second bottle. Not only it is the real, unadulterated stuff, but it presents a wonderful value for 4 oz. of product! You can certainly pay more, but I am doubting you will get more (especially from the over priced multi-level marketing brands). I put a few drops on each side of my pillow every night. I can tell you that I miss it when I'm away or forget to do it. Helps me drift away with a most pleasant, amazing aroma! Lavender is as essential an oil as exists by the way! Try it to see if it helps your circumstances. MOST HIGHLY recommend this product!
