These are not high intensity lights, they give a rather muted/soft light, which is what I hoped for. There are separate no bulbs to purchase, as the light is provided by an integral LED strip. The actual installation involves boring an appropriate hole in the building wall, and the connection of the two mains lighting wires. This is very straightforward. Can't tell yet if the lights will last the winter weather, but the anodised covering looks excellent, and so I have high hopes. Good price and quickly delivered.

This new porch light replaces an old PIR that failed after about 5 years. The new light is an improvement in that it is elegant and provides a very bright safe light at the door front and steps. It activates as someone approaches and remains on whilst it continues to detect a body present. It switches off immediately once the person moves from range. I have not adjusted the range or angle because the factory settings are just right for us, but the settings are easily adjusted. A good purchase.

Easy to install, looks nice, but I wouldn't pay the £45 rrp for it. I bought it from Amazon returns for £30 and I think that's about the right money. It is a bit cheap and nasty to the touch.

having put the light on the wall the PIR function worked for precisely one day- the next you could turn the light on, but the PIR function just would not work. Its not helped by the complete lack of operating instructions - the supplier probably just thinks it isnt worth while, but I know from previous experience that these lights can be quite 'fussy' how they are turned on. Anyway I havent the patience to muck about in my time to work it out- as I say a pity because it looks good on the wall,but this is either a quality or information issue.
