Forget Kylies Confide in Me or her latter single Slow..... This is the real deal. Around the time of this singles release Kylie was churning out awful, generic S/A/W produced rubbish that some pop pundits now are calling classics! WHAT???? Anyway back to the single in question, Justify My Love is what some Madonna fans refer to as her opus single, prior to this Madonna had been pumping out semi controversial hits such as Like A Virgin, Open Your Heart and Like A Prayer but with this single, controversy took on a whole new meaning..... Produced by Lenny Kravitz and Andre Betts the song is officially listed as THE most popular song to make love to, not sure how they researched that fact but never mind. Whisper rapping to a grainy beat Madonna taunts her way through lavish lyrics that beckon a male or female counterpart over seductive lines, choruses and political statements... "Poor is the man whos pleasure depends on the permission of another", the single was also accompanied by probarbly the most sexiest, avante garde video ever produced, so avante garde and risque that it was instantly banned and moved straight to the worlds first ever video single, that move became a world famous one as Madonna and her tiny little soft porn pop flick sold well over 1.5 million copies making it the biggest selling video single of all time. Shot entirely on location in a hotel in Paris (the famous one where Marilyn Monroe was seen hanging over a balcony in a white dressing gown), the video played out scenes of Madonna and friends cavorting through scenes of S and M, bi-sexuality and homo-erotiscism.... this single and its risque video became the pre curser to her equally succesful single and album Erotica to which even more themes of sexuality were explored. Back to the single though its just pure sexual energy, genius and a glimpse of Madonna at her provocative, thought provoking, sexually charged best...

If you love the "Justify My Love" version from her Girlie Show tour, you'll be glad you bought this cd. The orbit 12" mix is that mix. It's one of the best mixes of any Madonna songs ever! If you want to get a little funky, then listen to the hip hop mix. You can't stop yourself from feeling the need to do move to the funky beat. The beast within mix is really a new song that is a little spooky but, extremly cool. The little fun surprise here is the re-remix of "Express Yourself".
