This meets all the standards:(1) sturdy...when you type it does not wobble(2) light...you can lift it off your lap in a pinch(3) easy to set up and customize...i have no idea what people were thinking when they said it was difficult, or required two people...you can move each joint one notch at a time with numbered settings so that what works on one side can be easily duplicated on the other side(4) you can type without some stopper cutting into your wrist..this has a rubber lining that your wrist can rest comfortably on while you type...and if the laptop is super thin, you can throw a pen at the bottom that lifts up the bottom of the laptop so that it meets the height of the stopper.(5) it looks great

I choose this model because it has a silicon wrist rest and I could adjust the height of the stand. I did not find a more versatile laptop stand than this one. It is very comfortable, very stable and it has transformed my work in something so ergonomic, which is very important nowadays with the popularity of home-office. It is also very solid in its materials. Great product. I can't be happier. Thanks!Note: I tried to buy it trough the company webpage (not amazon), because there I didn't pay shipping nor taxes, so it was really cheeper (plus, I hate amazon service). Unfortunately, I could not make my credit card go troght there (not sure why). So, I encourage people to try buying through their website if they caan make it work.

I use it to convert my desk to a standing desk, to raise my laptop up off the desk in other words. Its pretty stable as the legs are not fully extended, and the soft lip makes it comfortable to use. My biggest disappointment though is with the mouse pad accessory which is very flimsy and much too small. Would have been better to make the whole tray another couple inches wider to make room for a mouse. Anyways, for the price I am pretty happy and haven't seen anything else that I think would work better. YMMV.

I knew I'd be returning this item within 15 minutes of opening its box. There may be some marginally useful applications of this product, but a floor stand for an expensive computer (as shown in the Amazon product photo) is not one of them. At its maximum height extension it is very unstable and apt to go pitching over at the slightest nudge or lack of attention. I liked the idea that you could fold it up and slide it under a couch or bed, but it's not really all that portable (I can't imagine traveling with it). In short, whether you need a floor stand, or table-top stand, or lap-stand, you can find something more secure and servicable than this item for half the cost or less...
