I have bought so many cell phone mounts over the years and I'm glad I finally found one that looks good, and works well. I hated the suction cup mounts, and the vent mounts always block too much air flow. This one installs very easily and doesn't block air flow too much. The phone may slid down if you have bumpy roads where you live, but in Florida we don't have potholes like the FDR in NYShitty.

(Pricey and mount too low!)THIS phone mount IS the absolute answer!I LOVE the looks! Looks like a BMW factory-installed option.I LOVE the position of the phone! Not too high. Not too low. Just right.I LOVE that with the phone in place it does NOT block the vents, A/C controls OR the Navigation screen.It does block the actual radio controls but that doesn't matter because I always use the steering wheel or the Navigation screen controls!I am thrilled that my LONG online search and research brought me to this ultimate phone mount for my Ultimate Driving BMW.The craftsmanship & quality is top notch. Sturdy and well made.The gimbal swivel mount provides just enough friction to allow placing the phone at just the right angle, without rattling around or slipping down. Bring on the bumpy roads!Installation was fairly easy. The four little setscrews 'could' be a challenge, but not if you take your time and realize what the end result will be! I used the short end of the included Allen key/wrench as that provided a little more control. Once I got those 4 screws tight the mount was locked in.It ain't going nowhere!I will mention that the case on my iPhone has a 'kickstand' on the back with a quarter coin-sized metal disk. This disk sticks to the phone mount magnet solidly and perfectly! (photo of case included)I waited a while before writing this review, in case any problems came up. I'm happy to say that there are no issues. Every time I get in the car I am excited to use this mount. No more plopping the phone down in the cup holder or having it slide off the console!

This is a very nice attachment to hold your phone in the car, fits perfect on my '17 BMW 440i GC.HOWEVER, if you have an iPhone Max or android of the larger size, with a MagSafe case or magnet ring in the back, you may be disappointed. I have a MagSafe type on a Max 12 Pro, and in the vertical position the phone moves during spirited driving. When in horizontal position, the phone detaches from the magnet.I find it odd to make such a nice fitting attachment, and then go with anything less than those stronger "rare earth" magnets. That is why, I gave this a 4 star. If there was a 3.5 star, that would have been my recommendation

The rubber part that the phone mounts on is too flush with the magnet which does not help the phone stay in place. The phone just slides right off. As for the mount, it is perfect and very sturdy. The magnet rubber part is the downside to this product. Going to return it.

Nicely made anodized mount that fits well, but the magnet is very weak and phone slides off. Don't have that problem with other magnetic mounts in other cars. I'll follow ebola3s suggestion and attach a different ball mount and magnet. But guys, would it cost much to put in a stronger magnet?

The mount fits as expected and creates a minimalist presentation. The magnet is strong value for the money is ideal. HOWEVER if your phone case already has a magnet built in, the polarity will probably be an issue since it will repel the magnetic mount making it unusable with that case.

This works good. Doesn’t really move around that much, it’s pretty strong. The only thing is the metal disc that you stick onto your phone case has a very sharp edge on it. I was just sort of unconsciously rubbing it with my fingernail and almost shaved through my entire nail. Totally my fault, but it would be nice if they good de-burr that edge before packaging.
