I got this for my adult cat and we have a great time playing with this. I would absolutely recommend this toy, but just wanted to leave a review that I can get the ribbon to snap at the end, making it like a whip. I found this out by accident and almost accidentally got my cat in the face. I wasn't even being too enthusiastic with it, but just trying to make it interesting for him by trying to not let him get it.My worry is that kids could hurt each other or pets with this toy and so should be closely monitored while in use, even older kids. When we were kids we used to get tea towels and deliberately try to whip each other with them and it hurts like crazy. So I know kids can get carried away and think things are funny but it would really hurt and could get someone in the eye. So just wanted to put this here as a warning to watch the kids just in case.For the price I find it a great toy. It may not last too long, but it's a lot of fun and a change-up from the feather stick my cat got bored of.

The rainbow 🌈 ribbon is sturdy, attractive, and well built. When our kitten was tiny, he was not interested. Now that he is 6 months old, he loves his toy! He actually snores now after a long play of chase through the house.Bottom line, before purchasing any toy, know your animal well and don’t give up. We held on to the ribbon and reintroduced it to our kitten when he was a little bit older and now it is his favorite toy! This is a great 👍🏽 purchase!

UPDATE: Bought another one, and this time the handle started snapping within a week. Somehow the handles are getting weaker as time goes on...?ORIGINAL: My cat ADORES this rainbow ribbon; it's one of her very favourite toys day after day. However, after about 6 months of use, the handle, which is very thin and weak, began snapping into pieces as we tried to play.I would happily spend more money for the same toy with a sturdier handle so I don't have to keep throwing it away and buying a new one. It's so wasteful!

Maybe I didn't read the description thoroughly, but this is not what I had expected. The ribbon is just that, a ribbon. I could have gone to a craft store and purchased a ribbon. The "handle" is barely a foot long and my cat stares at my arm the entire time I'm waving this at her. I think she was as disappointed as I was.If you want a ribbon on a short wand, this is for you. This is not felt, it's RIBBON.

My cat loves this toy, but he shredded the end in mere minutes the first time we played with it. The only reason we can still use it weeks later is because I realized very quickly that I would have to tie a knot in the ribbon to keep it from continuing to shred. Unfortunately, because of that knot, I have to be a lot more careful when playing with him. If that knot gets caught on a tooth (it had a few times), yanking to hard could have terrible results. So now I keep a pretty loose gripe on the wand. I would rather drop it than yank out a tooth.

I made the mistake of not looking at web larger picture ,didn't realize it was just a ribbon. I was in a hurry and the Cat Dancers toy due date was after xmas. Thank god I only order one of these. My cats aren't impress. I always bought Cat Dancer which is strip of color fleece, that heavier material my kids can grab it and even chew on it. Not this ribbon after a few swipes they just walk away. You can't snap it in air too light. I'll probably drop it off at a animal charity, I think kittens might like it better. Can't wait for Cat Dancers to get here

These are a must have in our house of 3 cats! I purchase these often. These are sturdy and would probably last longer for other people. Our cats are 8 lbs, 15 lbs and 17 lbs, so we go through a lot of everything. The ribbons are great, they are super long and just playing with the cats with them makes you feel like a professional ribbonier. Is that a word? Just get it and you'll see what I mean. Have fun!

My indoor/outdoor cat is sort if picky about toys and he can't resist this one! I'm buying another because there's a new cat in the house who keeps stealing it and hiding it away. Way different ordinarily and he loves it, too.The only con is that it does tend to unravel. We trim it, but we'll add a touch of glue to the end when it's new, this time.

If I could give a higher review I would. This is exactly what my kitty and I needed.She loves this!! I was a bit worried when ordering it because she is not interested at all with the other wand type toys that have feathers or what have you attached to the ends.But I received a gift basket a short time ago and noticed she was attracted to the bow and ribbons. Naturally I played with her with it and she just couldn't seem to get enough. Each night I would put it away because I was worried she may bite or chew on the ribbon, but she couldn't wait to play with it the next day.So, having my first cat, and this learning curve as to what toys make her happy - I am constantly searching for something that she will love.Well, I came upon this and could not wait to order it. Ah, it is perfect!!The ribbon is so soft, not like a ribbon that you attach to a gift. The colors are vibrant and attract her right away.The ribbon is also long, so you can actually let it wrap around her and of course that gets her even more playful.All in all if you have a cat like mine that does not bother with the wands with feathers, give this a try - it is well worth it. I will definitely order again if it starts to shred or the wand breaks - but so far it is completely intact.Great purchase in my opinion!!

If i saw this at the dollarstore i would not even pay a $1 for it. a very skinny plastic stick with a cm wide short cheap ribbon attached. This will last one day. 100% not worth anywhere near the $10.99 + HST i paid for it.

The cats love this toy as do I. Because it is a ribbon, when you flick it, it changes shape. The ribbon is quite long so it has good reach. I had to order another one because the handle broke. If your cat has a good hold on the ribbon, hold the handle in the middle. I was holding the handle at the end, my cat wouldn't let go, and the handle broke. I guess the handle could be sturdier. But we all love this toy very much which is why I ordered another one!

If i had seen this in the store (it would probably be a dollar store by the looks of this) i wouldn't pay more than $2 for this. I am keeping it cause its perfect for my three year old to play with our cat but I’m not happy with the quality. Would not recommend this to a friend

Both kittens love this item. It was a bit long so I cut the ribbon. Just have to make sure that you stop waving it around once the kittens catch it or you could hurt their nails.They also chew on the plastic wand. I would suggest you never leave the item with the kittens if unattended.
