Safest Option for Fleas
Both my cat and my dog recently got fleas from another animal and it’s the first time that I’ve ever dealt with fleas, so it was very scary to go through the process of researching the best method of getting rid of them and a lot of the times the products that are on sale have some sort of Hazard or negative affect that I honestly did not want to risk going through . I found this product through a recommendation through some Reddit post and just general research and at first I kind of dismissed it because I thought all like this is very expensive so I’m gonna look for other things but after doing extensive research, I found that this was probably my safest option so I decided to purchase it. The pill is very very small, so it was easy to hide in like some peanut butter and give it to my dog. After giving it to my cat and dog, I noticed that they began to itch even more than normal, so I quickly jumped on Google, and I found that this product makes them itch a little bit more after administering the drug because the fleas are starting to die off. I paid them both and one day later they have not itched at all, and any little fleas that were left are dead so overall, I’m very happy with the product. I will continue the dosage to finish the six month round but overall I give it a 10 out of 10 I definitely feel more comfortable with this product than I did with a flea shampoo or any other product.

NO ITCHING- GNAWING- OR SHAKING... This product seems to be working perfectly. I'm honestly AMAZED !
I am honestly AMAZED !!! I purchased this product for my dog, Deoji because we moved to an area that had much more vegetation, grass, SQUIRRELS, etc. Although I have been using Frontline for years, it seemed that it was no longer effective because Deoji became a LOT more itchy. Despite treating my dog, using flea baths, sprays, AND re-applying the "Frontline", it seemed to be a "temporary" deterrent !!! It just wasnt working... So, I decided to research this product, I purchased it and gave it to him as soon as Amazon delivered it !!! For the first few hours, I was very skeptical because Deoji started itching "uncontrollably" and at times he yelped. However, within the first 3 hours or so, Deoji's itching subsided substantially !!! By the next morning, Deoji completely stopped itching, shaking his body, gnawing at his paws, scratching his face, etc. Today is day "THREE" since I gave him CAPSTAR , and I can honestly that this product has given me amazing results !!! NO ITCHING... NO GNAWING... NO SHAKING... This product seems to be working perfectly...

Fleas fall off dead immediately!!!
I received this today and gave it to a puppy we rescued. It’s only been an hour and the fleas are falling off dead like crazy!! There are lots of them on the surface of her coat that had come up. All dead. It’s amazing! I’ll be giving the other 5 doses daily to knock out the eggs too. Hopefully to end this complete cycle.

Efficient, Yet Could Use Improvement
I've been a fan of this product because it's fast-acting, starting to work quickly and killing fleas within half an hour. Plus, no vet prescription is needed which is convenient. It's great for knocking out adult fleas. Yet, it's not perfect. While I appreciate the affordability and immediate action, I did not realize the product is only effective for a short term and isn't effective against all flea life stages. I was hoping for a more long-term solution.

Didn't work at all for Alaskan Malamutes
First, let me point out that CapStar is NOT a preventative! It is supposed to kill adult fleas on the dog but it doesn't prevent them from getting fleas again - not does it kill anything but adult fleas, which means you still need something (monthly topical or oral flea medicine) to kill the eggs and the larvae or those will obviously mature into adults and you and your pet are stuck in the vicious cycle. That being said, here is my first and only experience with CapStar. We have never had flea issues until this year. I have two Alaskan Malamutes - one 105 pound "short hair" and one 110 pound long hair. Clearly, they both have the Malamute thick double coat. We usually like K9 Advantix II for flea treatment/prevention. Early this summer, I bought the Amazon brand that has the same ingredients. As K9 Advantix Ii. It arrived with no expiration date and I'm not sure if that's the reason that it doesn't seem to work, that it's not the same formula or perhaps the fleas have become resistant... or it's just an especially overwhelming year for fleas. Either way, I thought by trying this first and THEN putting their prevention on within a day or two would work. I gave them each a CapStar pill, nervously watched for adverse reactions and thanked God they didn't seem to have any issues. It also didn't seem to help the flea situation - they continued scratching and biting as before. Because I didn't want to give them back to back, I waited for about 48 hours before giving another CapStar to each of them. Once again, no reaction but the scratching and chewing hasn't subsided at all nine hours later. In fact, I almost feel like both times, they are actually scratching more after the CapStar tablets?? It makes me wonder if it is actually not killing the fleas but just irritating them and making them more active and angry (or at least more hungry LOL). I really needed this to work and was hoping that in conjunction with a topical preventative, we would be able to both kill AND prevent reinfstation with a two prong attack. Sadly, we are just out more money, time and effort.I should mention that a long side this effort, I treated the bedrooms that have carpet (the rest of the house has hard floors and we have a no-knap, outdoor rug I'm the living room because it can be power washed) Anyway, I sprayed the Vet's Best Flea & Tick Home Spray on the carpet, mattresses and washed bedding & blankets. It's difficult to get every possible location that a flea could be hiding but I was fortunate to be able to see a flea and spray directly on it. The Vet's Best spray killed it in less than 10 seconds. It does say that you can apply it to your dog's coat and rub it in down to their skin. That sounded too unrealistic with their thick coats but because it is natural, smells really nice IMO and obviously works, I think I will still attempt that on most of their cost/body, add Diatomaceous Earth to the floors, dog beds, rugs, etc and THEN try reapplying topical prevention. I just have to decide of I am going to use some of the 8 tubes I have left of the Amazon brand or try something else - might pick up the Frontline Plus that's on sale at Costco tomorrow.

This is a really positive review because the product is highly effective. After using it, I noticed a significant decrease in the number of fleas on my dog. It's quick and easy to use which makes it highly convenient for a busy pet owner like myself. Would definitely recommend!

Works so fast!
All three of my dogs had gotten into fleas outside. I was so surprised how sickly these seemed to work! Next day and I haven't found a single flea and no irritation. I thought the price was high, but the quality totally outweighed the cost!
