No, this machine can not unbind, but you can unbind by your hand.

You get a few wire and spiral combs - I think about ten of each. How long that'll last you depends on your personal usage, obviously! If there are particular sizes (i.e. no of pages) you need regularly, it's worth getting a couple of boxes to have them to hand. Also, if you need to do short edge A4 (landscape) binding or A3 portrait, get some 24-loop wires.

Definitely works with A4 and A5. Not sure the maximum number of pages though. I have found it a good machine though.
