This candle is well worth the money. It comes in a beautiful package, suitable for gifting. It's so pretty with the different layers, and it has a lovely scent. I've gotten more compliments on this candle than any of the more expensive ones. I'm going to be a repeat customer for sure!

Sweet, airy, clean and reminiscent of summers gone by. I am in love with this scent. I truly was not expecting much as I’m often disappointed in claims from companies about their scents. The scents are spot on and kudos to the mixologist who nailed it. In addition - long burning!!!! I can’t wait to try more.

The scent is strong enough to fill a room. It burns even. And the fragrance is really nice.BUT since using it my mother has been saying the house smells like fish, no one had cooked fish, and she clarified it smelled like a aquariumShe said this for 2 or 3 days until I put two and two together and after checking the reviews here.It seems some people are getting a "fish" smellMy mother has really sensitive sense of smell, so maybe the only ones noticing this smell are those types of people.Again, I don't notice any fish smell at all, I just a nice watermelon smell.But I feel like with other reviews, and my mother noticing the smell, I do have to take a star off. Because there is obviously something in the materials used that has this underlining scent

I was looking for a larger, longer-burning candle for my office to get out what my wife calls the "man funk". I burn this about 4 to 6 hours a day trying to follow the company recommendation to only burn for about 2 hours at a time and then give it some rest. This is after 2 weeks of this so I'd say this has 60-70 hours on it. One thing you have to watch on a larger candle like this is that you don't get "tunneling". If you trim the wick too much the candle will start to tunnel down the middle and soon it will drown in the wax from the sides. The image is about where I keep mine. If it starts to accumulate on the sides, I let the wick get longer until the sides melt in and then trim it back down. Nice scents and a well-made candle.

I have seen some other reviews saying the Yankee or other candle brands are much better. I believe it depends a lot on personal preference, but there are some facts to consider. From my experience Yankee candles are much more expensive than this brand. They also tend to have very mundane flavors based on where you buy them. For this candle I can tell you two things: the jar adds appeal and the scent is very strong. One of my issues with candles is that if I buy a scented candle it better be strong enough to make the room smell great. When I received this candle the second I opened the outer box I got a blast of melon. The smell was strong enough that before even lighting it the room had a nice burst of fragrance. Some of the other flavors such as hot buns and caramel pecan just don't have enough of a scent. For the price I say this is a very good deal and a great candle.

I love burning candles in my home. I also love purchasing American made products. You can imagine my excitement when I discovered "Our Own Candle Company" candles. I have purchased about 6 of these candles. I love the mason jars they come in and their candles smell great! I am disappointed however in the quality of the wick they use. Not sure exactly what it's made out of but it doesn't last for the entire life of the candle. All of the wicks in each of the mason jar candles that I have purchased have burned out before all of the wax has been used up. I have had as much as 1.5 inches of unburned wax at the bottom of the small mason jar with a wick that no longer ignites...which is such a bummer! When I compare these candles to Yankee candles (also American made) Yankee wicks are far superior and tend to last until all of the wax is burned.

The smell is amazing!I have bought candles from yankee candle, bed bath and beyond, body works, and none compare to the strength and delightful smell of this candle.As soon as I opened the mason jar inspired container and got a whiff of this candle, I was hooked. I have used it for 4-5 days and I have not yet reached the melon smell or the canteloupe but the watermelon is magnificent.I also appreciate the smart names for your products, it adds on to that playful youthful feeling that I want to have in my place. I am a young adult that likes his place to smell great without taking away that young feeling to my place.I will never buy other candles, I am a true fan of these now.

So the fragrance and colour is v good but its the wick ... gives off too much smoke when put out. Plus the jar !!! The end 1/3 of the candle is super difficult to light again.

Luh-ooove this candle.Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about with a "fish" smell... I LOATHE any and all things seafood, and am hypersensitive to the smell of fish, so... pretty sure I'd've been leaving a -1 star review if it had smelled at all fishy.I think it smelled lovely and amazing and wonderful.I think my only issue would be that.. if you don't trim the wick... it will burn in that specific way that results in a giant black sphere of melted wick at the top that crackles and pops when you light it. It wasn't really an issue though if I'm being honest. So. Five stars!

When i recieved this item the wax was on the outside of the jar very messy. Lid was dented
