Honeywell TH6210U2001/U T6 Pro Programmable Thermostat, 2 Heat / 1 Cool Heat Pump Or 1 Heat / 1 Cool Conventional

I've had this for a month or two and just now am trying to program a schedule. Well, the option to program isn't there. I press menu and cycle through the options but the only options I get are TIME, DATE, F/C, and LOCK. No PROG feature.Update, after 40 minutes on hold I finally spoke to a Honeywell representative.In order to UNLOCK the PROGRAM feature you have to HOLD MENU and + for 5 seconds, you get the option of ISU which you select, you are given a 120 value and a 0 underneath, YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE 0 TO A 2 OR 4 AND SELECT!!! Nowhere in the User Guide is this mentioned...**UPDATE** After my heater wasn't working no matter how I installed it based on the installation and user manual, I finally looked up the manual ONLINE to FIND THAT THERE IS A HIDDEN ADVANCED SETUP MANUAL THAT IS PART OF THE ORIGINAL MANUAL BUT NOT INCLUDED IN THIS PRODUCTS MANUALThis particular manual has about 30 different options that depending on the type of your AC/Heater system will allow it to work or not. I will never forgive Honeywell for this.

Great "simple" inexpensive thermostat with a lot of extra features. 7, 5-1-1, 5-2, or none programing function (days that you program). Note that you have to program each day separately and cannot copy your programming from day to day. Thus, it takes awhile to program several days. But for the price you pay, that's a small inconvenience. And once you program, the settings are retained in the "brain" even if you lose power (battery only backs up time, day, date).Can partially lock out the thermostat so people can only raise and lower the temperature (cannot change program). Uses a factory 4 digit password to unlock the thermostat (cannot change to another password). Can also set maximum heat and minimum cooling temperatures so people cannot dial thermostat up/down beyond set limits (when in partial lock). Can also totally lock the thermostat so nothing can be changed, including temperatures.Installation is very easy.

Great simple t-stat. I purchased this because it uses the C wire and batteries as a backup. I like how the backlight can be turned off after a few seconds. I didn't want a WiFi thermostat that would allow the utility company to control my heat. I'm an electrician and honeywell makes great products.

This is packaged for installation and programming by an installer. If you are a DIY'er like me, you will likely run into problems. HOWEVER, the phone tech support answered almost every question patiently walked me through the setup.He had to check with the engineers about where the "brown wire" goes, turns out they're not sure could be power, could be something else, so we left that one off.

This thermostat was shockingly easy to install, and works as advertised. Already has done a nice job switching between heat and AC on early spring days that get warm. Adjusting that and other things in the “advanced” functions menu was super easy. Great value, don’t need to connect to it via WiFi if it’s doing its job, so save $100!

I am completely satisfied with my Honeywell TH6210U2001 T6 Programmable Thermostat. It is easy to understand and to program. I especially like the ease with which the 5 buttons allow access to update or change a program when desired. It is small, compact and its design adds to the decor of our living room. My previous thermostat was a Honeywell Programmable thermostat similar to the visionpro 8000 and we had it for about 10 years. It was still working but I figured that after 10 years, I should update. I trust Honeywell when it comes to thermostats.

This thing is extremely difficult to program - I called to get help and got it done, but it took a long time and i hesitate to try to change anything. However, the device works just fine.

First what I didn't like so much: It took two of us a long time to figure out how to install it and program it. Mind you, we aren't electricians and maybe someone with more electronic smarts could breeze through it no problem. Now what we love: Once set up, we love the "forget about it" feature. Switching between A/C and heat automatically no matter what the season is priceless. It really does a good job. I give this a high rating because it's a great thermostat. It's that simple.
