Sounds OK for a very very very inexpensive device. The issue I have with it is the knobs are very sensitive. No resistance so they move when you hit the switch. Strange but the gain knob changes the volume. I have to keep resetting the knobs. Plus the volume is very loud at the bottom of the pot. As soon as you turn it up it gets loud very fast.. No really low volume setting. I also think that if as advertised if your amp goes down you can go direct into the PA, should have a balanced 600 ohm output, not the 1/4 inch High Z one... So you have to go from this into a DI to get into a PA....

it is great for what i use it for - that is dropping at the end of a chain to color the tone properly for distortion/overdrive the gain on it's own sounds good too- I would give it 5 stars if it was a little cleaner - you can't really bump the level w/o getting a little grit - which has pluses and minuses but overall worth the purchase

I never review items but I have to with this pedal. I've played guitar for 14 years and this is the best distortion/overdrive pedal I've ever used. It sounds big and clean, like an amp head would sound. If you're sceptical, don't be...Its got a wide range of sounds from blues, clean overdrive, rock, to metal. I play different styles of music and I can simply turn a knob to change what I'm wanting to do. I wouldn't call this cheap, but very inexpensive for what you get.Well worth the money!

Great range of drive and tone control! I now use it in place of my equalizer. same control, but easier to set.I use it with a solid stae amp and it sounds awesome!

Great little pedal for the price. Knobs are a little to easy to move but overall an A+

I knew this pedal wasn't going to be built to last or gig worthy for the price, but since I was only going to use it at home I wasn't too worried. It arrived and worked fine, it did what I needed and sounded great! Then it cut out. Checked my connections and it still wouldn't work. Left it over night and it worked again for about 15 minutes before cutting out again, so now I am returning it. Honestly it sounded great, but if it's going to be that unreliable it's no good to me. If they fixed the reliability issues I'd happily have paid twice the price, and now I'm in two minds whether to order another in case I just had a duff one or to look for a better alternative. Shame!

The sound of this pedal is amazing for its price. I have owned numerous pedals over the year, from boss, to mxr, blackstar, vox etc... I must say that I was blown away to have the american sound in such a cheap pedal. From light crunch to huge distortion sound. You can use it as a boost or a main distortion. The settings can be varied and the knobs are reacting well and change the sound drastically with a turn. However they don't offer enough resistance and don't see sturdy enough.Mine is "hissing" when it's plugged in. I will send it back and try another one hopping to get rid of this problem .Another isssue was that I didn't receive a 9V battery as it was mentioned on the article.

Not really a simulator but a really good and versatile overdrive pedal good meaty sounds and reasonably varied, at this price it’s a snip, I have an overdrive pedal that cos 5 times as much but it’s nit 5 times better, the knobs could be a little tighter but a felt ring will sort that out for a few pence. Great bargain

I like to stack them and have different Gain stages to I get a lot of variation through the gig.It’s a brilliant pedal so look out for it, look after it and enjoy. Especially at this price you can’t go Wrong.

it is ok as a distortion pedal the variants are really wide so you can get some good sounds for all ranges.
