Artist Quality French Easel - Portable Art Easel with Storage Sketch Box, French Style Adjustable Painting Easel with Wooden Pallete & Shoulder Strap for Painting and Drawing

I've been using this easel for a couple of months now, and have been very happy with it. It's compact, with lots of storage, and adjustable enough to paint at whatever height is comfortable. You could take it just about anywhere, leave it set up and paint on it every day, or pack it up and put it under a bed when not in use. It's very sturdy, and for the price point, I couldn't ask for much more.

Love, love, love it. Folds up easy, and compact for storage. Sets up easy, and is super adjustable for sitting, standing, or on top of a table. I use an Alvin Board with it for Pastels and couldn't be happier. You get what you pay for here. I had been working with a cheap aluminum one and spent more time re-assembling and duck taping than actually working.

Overall nicely made. I do love the way it looks and the dovetail joints. I only wish the drawer was made a little bit better. I can see the glue where the dividers was put in and around the edges. The legs also seem a little wobbly at times especially when they are in the tallest position. The really nice thing about this easel is it is highly adjustable and I love the fact that you can use it as a table top box easel. It is easy to fold up and move and will be a great asset while traveling.

I purchased this for my husband for Christmas - it's very well made and he is thrilled with it. It has a long drawer where he keeps some of his oil paints and other bits and bobs. It's basically made for a canvas, but he purchased a large board for his work instead - at first it was a bit wobbly but after he changed the position and tightened the wing nuts it was fine. It's not supposed to be very heavy or too sturdy as it comes apart when the person wants to take it outside to paint or draw or travel with it.

I thought with all the features this would be the best easel in the world but it turns out it's very hard to set up for one and for two it's not very sturdy. It can fold up so it's very portable but the design is not that great as far as fascinating the legs into their settings. It just Weeble wobbles no matter how much you tighten it up. But for what I paid it was a pretty decent value.

This is a beautiful easel. I would not take it on a plane though. Its very heavy. I travelled quite a bit with it and although its very cool looking, sturdy, and easy to set up, its not fun to take on a plane or carry in an airport. If you are travelling with your car to 'plein air' paint, it would work fine. Next time I fly I will take a light aluminum easel. Its hard to ride a bike with it....its great, just too heavy.

Love to paint my wife is starting out. Gotta find two more. They make good gifts.
