Magical Wool Cover....
I love this wool cover! It does need to be lanolized thoroughly a good 2-3 times before it will be leak-proof. I used a cap-full of Eucalan wool wash & about an inch of Lansinoh lanolin the second time I lanolized and this helped significantly. I know most people would think this is over-kill on the lanolin, but it worked great for me, and has kept it great ever since. I was a little intimidated at first to start using the cover because of the whole wool-maintenance routine......I wish I would have started sooner! This cover fit my little one great basically since birth (at 7lb 5oz) and is still fitting great at 4-months. It does run a bit small, and is a little tighter than I'd like on these chunky 10-inch thighs at 4-months, but it still is far, far more breathable, comfortable, and EASIER to use than all my various, assorted covers, pockets, and all-in-ones. This guy will have red marks *no matter what type of diaper* with the exception of this wonderful wool cover. I recently started using this overnight with an unbleached organic Osocozy prefold underneath. I am still amazed when I take off a SOPPING wet diaper in the middle of the night and again first thing in the morning, and not only are there NO leaks (the cover will feel a little damp, but there is no moisture leaking thru) but his skin will look amazingly beautiful & smooth, not a mark in sight. Oh, and did I mention his skin will be DRY as well? Soaking diaper, dry skin. This is the power of wool people.Oh, also, I would be remiss if I failed to mention that I live where the summers are always over 100 degrees (usually 105-110), and I don't hesitate for a second to put on this cover when we have to venture out in this crazy heat. Wool is so breathable and dare I say, magical, that it is still the absolute best option for keeping this baby dry, happy, and red-mark free. I am now busy converting my entire stash to wool and flats (saving my newborn prefolds to use as doublers). I am determined to try all the other wool covers out there and compare. I can tell you this; this cover is much cheaper than many others, and works wonderfully. If you have been hesitant to try it, stop debating and take the plunge - - you'll wish you had sooner!(Oh, one last thing, even though I washed this very gingerly, the cover did start felting after the 3rd wash. This doesn't matter to me, since I'm more concerned with it keeping baby dry than with it looking pristine, but still had to mention.)P.S. Here is a photo of my 4-month old in the cover. This is a size 62/68 (3-6 months); although many refer to it as the newborn size, and it did indeed fit my newborn.

The best covers!
I ordered the Disana Wool cover hoping it would help my 3 month old daughters rash constant rash in response to disposable diapers. I am an old veteran using cloth diapers, but I had never tried wool before. Now I wish I had started using it years ago! I honestly ordered this one because of the price. Plunking down over $50 on one item of clothing that will rapidly become outgrown on our 5th child is not option. And the Disana Wool cover was only $25. As soon as it arrived I was impressed. It was soft and snuggly. I happily placed it on my daughter over her origami flat folded diaper. Within the hour of course the moisture came pouring through. (Note, these diapers are not lanolized when they are arrive, this note is for all the people like me who are beginners with wool) I washed it with a little wool wash and then fixed fresh water and added the prepped Imse Vimse Wool cure. I did it all per the Imse Vimse instructions. I pressed out the extra water with a towel and dried it over a warm airy spot in my kitchen. Once again I put it on my daughter, Again when she wet, it came pouring through. Again I washed it, and this time I added about a dime sized squirt of pure lansinoh lanolin to the Imse Vimse wool cure and stirred both in hot water until dissolved and added to the wool wash, and proceeded as before. After it was dry, just for good measure, I put a pea sized squirt of lanolin on my hands, rubbed my hands together, then touched all over the diaper cover through the wet zone and then gently massaged it deep into the fibers. Once again I placed it on my daughter, she wet herself (heavy wetter because she holds it and then floods her diapers) I held my breath when I checked her, she was dry, I thought she had not wet herself but checked her just to make sure and found her diaper completely soaked. Oh how happy I was. I ordered 3 more covers, lanolized them the same way and have had complete success at keeping her clothing and sheets dry. I wash her covers once a month or if she gets a little dirty on them. They never smell, they never leave red marks like PUL covers, they look adorable with a warm tshirt (in winter) and best of all, her rash is gone! Do yourself a favor and buy these diaper covers. My whole system consists of 4 Disana wool covers, 24 Osocozy Flat fold diapers, 8 cotton hemp jersey flats for nighttime with a thirsties velour wipe lain on the inside of the diaper to keep her from feeling wet at night. She easily goes 8 to 10 hours in her covers and her sheets are never wet.

great wool cover
I have cloth diapered all three of my kids using wool for the past five years. I have tried many different wool covers including some of the most expensive and covers that I have made myself. I think these are probably the best wool cover I have used. I wish I would not have waited for kid number 3 to try these. I guess that I thought that the high rise would be uncomfortable or too hot or something, but the opposite it true. This cover is so soft and squishy. I love cuddling with my son when he wears this. When you first get the cover it does not seam as soft. But after you wash and lanolize it, it is as super soft. The high waist band and soft leg openings makes it seem so comfortable on my son. It is very non binding. They are cute to just wear as shorts. They are a little bulky, but honestly, I haven't had a problem fitting them under clothing. My son wears them both day and night. Most wool covers will not leak at night provided they are sufficiently lanolized with as absorbent enough diaper. However, these work better. They seem to be able to absorb a lot more liquid than other covers without feeling wet on the outside. Because of this, even when the diaper is saturated, my baby's skin is still dry. It seems like the wool is pulling the moisture away from his skin. I now see why so many people recommend this cover for night. It is also great in the day. My son was wearing this on a hot day. His car seat overheated him and he got heat rash just about everywhere except where this covered. The wool wicked the sweat away and kept him cool. I must say that I am very impressed with this cover. It is a very good value, especially for organic wool. I will be buying more.
