Great case for the price!!
OK. This case is what I was looking for. Sure, I wanted a Pelican 1750 or Boyt H51, but I just couldn't justify it. I wanted a case to take my 2 shotguns to the range. Throw them in the back of the truck and not worry. Well, this Plano isn't a Pelican or a Boyt, for sure, but it is definitely a nice double case that will protect my shotguns.Nice handle, OK latches, usable foam, nice straps to hold your firearms in place and OK hard plastic. Yes, the outside case bends when not latched together, but it definitely provides protection from banging around when everything is closed. Yesssss, if a truck runs over it, the case will crunch. It could use a weather seal if it's going to sit in the rain or early morning mist, but my truck has a cover so I could care less. The size is great for my 2 shotguns, not cramped, nice to be strapped down inside and a good handle. I don't need wheels and this case doesn't have them anyway. What this case gives me that a Pelican or Boyt doesn't is about $130.00. If I'm going to travel on the airlines all the time, I will consider one of those 2 brands, but for general purpose, this case is the best for the price, hands down! An occasional airline trip, I would consider this case but not with an optic on the firearm.Simply put, I LIKE IT!

Good quality for price I paid
I bought two of these at half off the list price in order to safely store some rifles. They are an excellent value for the price I paid. The plastic casing is not thin (something I had read in reviews for other cases). The hinges appear sturdy to me. It was easy to find a lock for the case that fit. My use for these cases is primarily storage. I have no plans to haul them to other places regularly. For my purposes of secure storage this case is excellent. The density of the foam seemed nice to me. I noted that other cases had bad reviews on the thickness and firmness of the lining foam. This foam could have been a thicker. On the other hand, I don’t expect it break or tear as I don’t move my cases around or remove the contacts frequently.I suspect the plastic case will stand up to jostling and frequent handling if you plan to move the case around a lot.

Nice case rates a good value
Just received this case from Amazon. Shipping was quick and exactly as ordered. Made of rigid molded plastic outside and foam inside, it's not the most solid case but I'm sure I'll get a lot of use from it.The case is way big. It makes my M&P 15/22 look small. I will be adding a shotgun soon and that should fit in as well. Scopes, mounted or not, will fit as well. To store I slide it under my bed. When you receive this case pull up the bottom foam and place and lock the 4 rails to the base with the provided rings and locking tool. Locking the rails in is a bit too challenging and could be easier but it works fine. You then position the four straps to hold your guns along the rails and feed them through the slots in the foam. The tough vinyl straps have cloth protectors so the straps don't contact the gun directly. The case has two hoops along the latch rail by the handle that allow locks to be used. There are 6 outside latches, four across the front and one on each side and a sturdy handle. One of these fell off while I was installing the straps, but fit right back on. You can carry your guns confidently in this case and, though it's rated for airline use, I'm not sure how many trips through baggage claim it could take.In summary I'm very happy with this case and look forward to many trips to the range with it keeping my guns secure. I took off one star due to the plastic construction and difficulty locking the rails down. If you need a heavy duty case look elsewhere. If you're looking for an affordable, dual rifle case for casual use this is the one.** Update Jan 2012:I still have this and use it often. I can now verify it holds two scoped AR-style rifles just fine. I can also add some accessories to the case and everything stays together and intact. I have even carried handguns with the two rifles. It's a vital tool for me that helps gets my arms too and from the range. Beware the weight you'll bear if you load it as I do, but it can hold a lot and takes a beating! The latches pop off now and then (only when adding or removing items - not when the case is transporting) but they're easy to put back on so no change to my rating. I wouldn't use this for air travel but it's great for ground transport.

Great Two-Rifle Case
I purchased two of these cases to carry (mainly scoped) rifles during a recent move. I had acquired several Pelican long gun cases during my time in the military, but needed additional cases, and wasn't fond of spending the several hundred dollars purchasing 52" Pelican cases with foam would have cost me. Given the price of the Plano case, they are an absolutely huge bargain. While definitely not as robust as a Pelican or similar case, the construction is solid, and the 'Pillar Lock' design seems to work quite well. Each case has six locking latches that engage positively, keeping the two halves closed with no wobble or bend, and there are several reinforced locations to use your own lock(s). I have not measured yet, but the thinnest areas of the case appear to be around 1/4" or so. The Plano case is not waterproof or airtight, but it does not claim to offer those features. The interior of the case has several mounting points for included polymer 'ladders' that allow for the firearms inside to be tied down, further securing them. Locking washers, a plastic push tool, and nylon tie down straps are included, but I would not recommend using the push tool, as it's my one complaint: The installation push tool does not allow for enough force to reliably engage the lock washers for the tie down ladders, and I found that a hardened eyelet-setting die and brass gunsmith's hammer worked much better. The interior foam is also pre-cut to allow for the tie downs to pass through it and the mounted 'ladders'.Overall, I am extremely pleased with the value and quality of this product.Packaging/Shipping Note: These items ship as individual shipments, in their own boxes. If you are not using a free shipping method, you will have to pay extra, and some may not feel comfortable with the boxes sitting on their doorstep, as they clearly depict what is inside them.

Bueno, bonito y barato

good for ice fishing rods
i was a little skeptical at first with other useless reviews, but it works great, i do have to loosen the reel handles everytime so they fold in but it takes a matter of seconds which is no big deal, the case is durable and now i don't have to worry about rods breaking anymore, holds 5 standard ice fishing rods tightly.
