Excellent lightweight walking shoe
I owned probably a dozen pair of the Fresh Foam Cruz Sport before they were discontinued. It fit my foot perfectly and lasted forever with the solid rubber outsole. An excellent shoe all-around. The Roav appears to be the direct successor to that shoe and New Balance has evolved the design.Couple of things to note:1. These things are huge. I'm a 12 and my wife is a 9.5. We returned both pairs for a half-size smaller at 11.5 and 9 respectively. They fit much better now.2. The heel area is extremely wide. If you have large ankles or a wide heel, you'll be very happy with these. For me, they are still wide but not so wide they fall off.3. Not a chance these shoes could be used for running. I walk a ton and they are the perfect walking shoe. They have a ton of support and they are breathable. If I tried running in these, I'm sure they would fly off my feet.4. Fit is crucial because they don't have a standard tongue in the shoe. These are slip-ons with laces. Over tightening them causes discomfort because the shoe itself is being tightened and not a tongue.Hope that's helpful! In closing, this is a great shoe for walking, lounging, or shopping but they aren't for the gym or running. Order a 1/2 size down and expect to wear them as slip-on sneakers which aren't snug.

My favorite workout shoes so far!
Update: I don’t recommend as an all around gym shoe, it has a slight forward slope and fits a little loosely, so it’s not great for heavy leg exercises like squats or dead lifts. The shoe is great for running or walking though!Overall great shoes! They required very little breaking in, they're super comfortable and breathable, no sweaty or cramping feelings like in some low quality shoes. I've used for about 6 weeks now for general gym workouts and they still are like new. I love the style and design! The rear of the shoe is very comfortable and doesn't rub up against the back of your foot but yet is very supportive when needed. The laces are high quality and the tongue stays in place always so no annoying adjustments are needed. The fit is secure yet comfortable. One thing I'd say is that you probably don't want this style of shoe for something that requires a lot of jumping or lunging (like a burpie type of workout), it would probably wear through the fabric material quickly.

Best shoe purchase!
Love, love, love this shoe!! Did I mention that I love this shoe?!? I got the black/neon emerald printed pair and they are my FAVORITE! I have this same shoe in other colors but these stand out and I get so many compliments on them! They even fit a little better than the other colors even though it's the exact same shoe! The color/pattern is just as bright and beautiful as pictured, they did not disappoint in any way...and very comfortable! The insert is more on the firm side, not real squishy and cloud like, but very comfortable! I work in a busy hospital and am on my feet for 10 plus hours a day and these definitely deliver in the comfort department! 200% satisfied!

Comfortable and attractive active shoe
1/30/20 UPDATE; on my third pair, and haven't even CONSIDERED another daily shoe. I've done as much as 20 miles a day in them, pulled a 735lb deadlift in them, and I'm here to grab a fourth pair. For any buyers on the large side, here's the combo I run after trial and error to find the best fit/feel;-Dr Scholl's heavy duty insoles-Round elastic laces (I use locklace without the locks, worn tight)-Saucony athletic socks (imo fit/last/support better than Reebok)ORIGINAL REVIEW; Right off the bat, the only reason i'm currently giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. At $80 I'd like to see a foam sole shoe come with a nonslip outsole. This would be a 5 star shoe at $65.General Review; I've owned a LOT of shoes. I'm very active, a big dude, and harder than most on them. My first impression of these shoes is simply that they might be the most comfortable set of shoes i've ever worn that aren't house slippers. Between work and cardio i rack up 25-30 miles a week, and so far i have zero issues to note in the first week. I'll update if a problem does arise.PROs;Shockingly comfortable. The design on this shoe is stellar and hugs your foot evenly with minimal effortSpringy step without being bouncy, walking requires minimal effortManeuverable and lightLooks greatThe heel cup does its job as intendedCONs;I don't know if it's just me, but the laces that come on NB shoes are always WAY too long. I don't have small feet by any means and i'm always left with at least a full 10"-12" of lace per side before tying, and this means that they come untied 2-3 times a day when i'm doing something on my knees at work. Plan on replacing the laces or cutting them down.(BTW NB, if you want to stand out, ditch the traditional laces for elastic ones)The factory insert is beyond useless as usual. Mine was worn flat after the first day. I personally use the Dr Scholls Heavy Duty insoles in my shoes and they are hugely complementary to this pair
